Colorado’s Democratic-controlled House voted on Friday to a gun-control package that limits the rounds a magazine can hold to 15.
The largest manufacturer of high-capacity magazines, Erie-based Magpul Industries is threatening to leave the state if the gun-control measure passes:
“If we’re able to stay in Colorado and manufacture a product, but law-abiding citizens of the state were unable to purchase the product, customers around the state and the nation would boycott us for remaining here,” Doug Smith, Magpul’s chief operating officer, told The Post.
This gun-control package requires manufacturers to engrave magazines with serial numbers and dates — a requirement Smith believes is “burdensome and unnecessary,” according to The Denver Post. Full Story at Fox News.
In addition, six gun companies have announced that they will not sell to any government agency in a state that severely limits the rights of private gun owners.
The companies all said in their announcements that the strict gun laws create a class of privileged government employees and a class of citizens without rights. They will not support the unequal justice.
