The Gun Grabbers Have Been Busy

If only Reid had a brain

The gun grabbers haven’t slowed down despite the scandals, despite the disaster on our borders, despite our failed foreign policy. While we have drug dealers and terrorists coming through our porous border and we will need our guns more than ever, the gun grabbers have been busy. They never take a break.

Ammoland posted an announcement yesterday about a new bill in the California Senate – Senate Bill 53. They want California citizens to contact their  assemblymen.

The new law is bad. They want to make ammo unaffordable and inaccessible.

SB 53 would require the purchasers of ammunition to register with the state Department of Justice (DOJ) prior to purchasing any ammunition. This registration would require the submission of fingerprints, a background check and fees to the DOJ. If passed and enacted into law, SB 53 would require the collection and reporting of personal consumer information and thumbprinting for all ammunition purchases throughout the state. It would also ban online and mail-order sales of all ammunition, including hunting and collectible ammunition. In addition, SB 53 would require anyone wishing to exercise their fundamental right to keep and bear arms to obtain a costly ammunition purchaser permit that must be renewed every two years.

In doing so, SB 53 would impose drastic and unjustified restrictions on law-abiding gun owners while doing nothing to reduce violent crime.

That’s California but the gun grabbers are everywhere and they will never be satisfied until the Second Amendment is gone. Once one amendment is gone, they are all up for grabs.

Harry Reid, the NRA-endorsed candidate, still wants a gun registry and he is pushing for it in the wake of the Vegas shootings. After the two police officers and a bystander were murdered by raving lunatics in Vegas, Reid took to the floor and demanded a universal gun registry because “American people are depending” on the senate to do just that.

He claims it would keep guns out of the hands of maniacs.

The shooting in Troutdale brought out all the anti-gun advocates. The fact that it was a safety-free gun school zone escaped their notice.

The recent killings in Santa Barbara by a director’s son were committed using guns, knives and a car ( he may have used machetes and a hammer as well). The only thing the gun grabbers noticed were the guns. Sen Richard Blumenthal, a fake self-described Nam hero, called for strict gun legislation and bozos like Michael Moore took to twitter blaming white males. (The killer was half Chinese.)

California already has very strict gun laws. The laws aren’t the problem. The Santa Barbara killer had legally purchased guns. He was deranged.

Universal background checks and gun registration would not have stopped any of the crimes.

The solutions don’t fit the problem and don’t resolve the problem.

Reid wants to eliminate the Second Amendment. He’s a control freak.

Rahm Emanuel in Chicago, who can’t get gun crime under control despite rigid gun laws,  wants to have all gun sales videotaped. The only thing that will do is increase costs and paper work. He came up with this idea because a federal judge struck down his longtime ban on gun stores.

Emanuel came up with his “smart” plan as a result.

His “smart” plan would mean that stores could only sell only one handgun per month, per buyer. Store records would also be subject to quarterly audits.

The stores also must have a police-approved security plan before they can open. The plan would have to include exterior lighting, surveillance cameras, alarm systems and gun and ammunition storage. Store employees would also be forced to “undergo fingerprinting, background checks and training on identifying potential gun traffickers.”

Stores could not reopen at the same location for three years if the city revoked its business license for ordinance violations.

Emanuel isn’t complying with the spirit of the law and for all his efforts, gun crimes will continue to increase. If people in Chicago were fully armed, criminals would think twice.

Former Nanny-Mayor Michael Bloomberg has been putting money into “not one more” marches and protests. One took place this weekend across the Brooklyn Bridge and included groups like Moms Demand Action, Everytown For Gun Safety and Mayors Against Illegal Guns.

They are all funded by Bloomberg. The billionaire Bloomberg, who was not in attendance, is pumping millions of his own money into the gun-grabber cause.

All I heard about yesterday were these dopey people marching across the Brooklyn Bridge. You could have millions of pro-life people marching and never know but this got the full attention of every media outlet in New York.

Actors like to join these causes.

Actor Adam Scott said a week ago in Los Angeles that his son had to be sheltered in a home because a man was spotted wandering around with an assault rifle.

“It was right on the street where he was playing. Right on the same street,” Scott said. “I just don’t want this to become a routine that my kids have to grow up and get used to.”

LA is filled with gun crime because of the illegal gangbangers. If they did something about them – like deport them – LA would be a lot safer.

Mark Begich (Alaska), Mary Landrieu (Louisiana), Mark Pryor (Arkansas), Kay Hagan (North Carolina), Jeanne Shaheen (New Hampshire), Mark Warner (Virginia), John Walsh (Montana), Mark Udall (Colorado), Jeff Merkley (Oregon), Al Franken (Minnesota), and Tom Udall (New Mexico) are all gun grabbing supporters of Harry Reid and they are up for re-election. That is one heck of a good reason to not vote for them.
