Guns, Abortion & the Two-Faces of Obama

President Obama railed against his opponents and five fellow Democrats today for defeating the demagogued anti-gun legislation that would not have kept criminals and the mentally ill from owning guns. He angrily called it a pretty shameful day for Washington. He was harsh.

“A minority in the United States Senate decided it wasn’t worth it,” he said. “They worried that that vocal minority of gun-owners would come after them in future elections. They worried that the gun lobby would spend a lot of money and paint them as anti-Second Amendment. And obviously a lot of Republicans had that fear, but Democrats had that fear, too. And so they caved to the pressure, and they started looking for an excuse, any excuse, to vote no.”

His gun bills have absolutely nothing to do with Newtown. They would do nothing to prevent a Newtown.

When asked what he thought about the Philadelphia baby killer Kermit Gosnell who is believed to have killed as many as 1000 babies, Obama responded without emotion, saying he was “familiar” with the case but wouldn’t comment directly because it was active.

“If an individual carrying out an abortion, operating a clinic or doing anything else is violating medical ethics, violating the law then they should be prosecuted,” Obama said.

The president quoted former President Clinton, stating, “Abortion should be safe, legal and rare.”

Obama voted against the born alive bill in Illinois when he was a Senator. Check out his demeanor in this video compared with his anger at losing on a gun bill that did nothing more than limit the rights of legal gun owners.
