Atlas Shrugs reported:: Wow, we are under attack. Back in 2004, the media went rabid when Republicans merely mentioned using the nuclear option during the leftwing putsch on Supreme Court nominations.

Reid (Nev.) said last week. ‘I know procedures around here. And I know that there will still be Senate business conducted. But I will, for lack of a better word, screw things up.’
Fast forward to 2011. Tonight, Harry Reid imposed the nuclear option, declaring: ‘I feel very comfortable with what I’ve done.’…Here is what Reid said today – VIDEO here…”

Reid and 50 members of his caucus voted to change Senate rules unilaterally to prevent Republicans from forcing votes on uncomfortable amendments after the chamber has voted to move to final passage of a bill. Reid’s coup passed by a vote of 51-48, leaving Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) fuming…”
From Yid with Lid: “Unprecedented! Harry Reid invents new Senate rule to prevent vote on Obama Jobs Bill. Harry Reid invented a new Senate rule tonight, its called ‘Because I said so!’…”
