Hillary Clinton Takes Responsibility for Benghazi But Not the Coverup

On Sunday, the Examiner reported that Hillary Clinton said the State Department was not the source of information concerning the Benghazi attack, insisting that the White House was the source. It sounded like Hillary was deserting the ship.

That was yesterday and this is today and Hillary chose to fall on her sword today or did she?

“I take responsibility” for the protection of U.S. diplomats, Clinton said during a visit to Peru. But she said that an investigation now under way will ultimately determine what happened in the attack that left four Americans dead. [CNN] The last part of that sentence is clear, she is not taking responsibility for the coverup just yet.

Hillary is still waiting to find out what happened in Benghazi. Maybe she should give the reporter Catherine Herridge a call to get the answers.

Hillary can take responsibility for her role in the Benghazi consulate not being properly protected but she cannot take responsibility for the dishonest handling of the situation by the White House. The buck must stop with the president.

The coverup is President Obama’s responsibility though he has tried to dodge it. The buck stops with President Obama and he can only avoid that for just so long.

Remember this from January 2010 [Detroit airliner bomb plot]? Why aren’t we hearing this speech now? Is it because he engaged in a coverup?
