Hillary told Scott Pelley of CBS that she has “tried to level with the American people…she “tried” to always “tell the truth.”
As William Saffire wrote in 1996, “Americans of all political persuasions are coming to the sad realization that our First Lady [Hillary] — a woman of undoubted talents who was a role model for many in her generation — is a congenital liar.”
She was discovered to be lying about almost everything according to FBI files and confidants who turned on her because of her dishonesty and because their lawyers told them to come clean. Hillary also “lost records” and “concealed files” which might clarify for some why she put her emails on an unsecured private server as secretary of state.
Safire ended his essay with this: “She had good reasons to lie [cover up for taking a bribe]; she is in the longtime habit of lying; and she has never been called to account for lying herself or in suborning lying in her aides and friends.”
His essay called a “Blizzard of Lies,” covered her 10,000 percent profit in 1979 commodity trading [alleged bribe]; concealment of records/obstruction of justice upon Vincent Foster’s death, having lied because she was actively representing a criminal enterprise known as the Madison S.& L., and she may have conspired with Web Hubbell’s father-in-law to make a sham land deal that cost taxpayers $3 million; and the Travelgate lies and abuse of power or, as documents revealed, there “would be hell to pay” to Hillary.
There is so much more but for some reason, the Clintons have charmed their way out of every jam.
She told Chuck Todd on Telemundo that she finds it “obviously troubling” that “voters question my honesty.”
Hillary’s and Bill’s blizzard of lies are all but forgotten or remain unimportant to her supporters.
The missing Rose Law Firm billing records that mysteriously turned up on a table in the White House Residence are long forgotten.
Gone is the memory of her conduct in the Whitewater investigation, where the prosecutors assessment of her testimony was described as follows by Washington Post and Time investigative reporters Susan Schmidt and Michael Weisskopf in their 2000 book Truth at Any Cost: Ken Starr and the Unmaking of Bill Clinton: “Virtually everybody concluded that the first lady had lied but that the evidence was not strong enough to convict her”.
Juanita Broaddrick’s allegation that Hillary had threatened her to be silent over Broaddrick’s allegation of being raped by Bill Clinton has long been ignored though Broaddrick’s now campaigning against her.
Remember the sniper fire in Bosnia? “I remember landing under sniper fire in Bosnia,” she lied. “There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base,” Hillary remembered.
The “Chinagate” fundraising scandal plagued the 1996 Bill Clinton-Al Gore campaign and Hillary was very much involved but that’s forgotten too. Chinagate aka Commercegate is the most serious scandal in U.S. history. It involves the transfer of America’s most sensitive technology, including but not limited to nuclear missile and satellite technology, apparently in exchange for millions of dollars in contributions to the 1996 Clinton-Gore re-election effort and the Democratic National Committee.
The Chinagate scandal of 1996 ended up in an award of 900,000 in attorney’s fees and costs to Judicial Watch ten years later.
The scandal was an apparent scheme by the Clinton administration to sell seats on taxpayer-funded trade missions in exchange for campaign contributions to the 1996 Clinton-Gore campaign.
Also forgotten or ignored was her myriad lies during the Benghazi hearing. In fact, she was lauded for it. Democrats don’t mind lying apparently.
The uranium deal she and her husband finessed is also forgotten and that just happened.
