Variety says that Hollywood is doubling down and preparing for a new wave of activism. They are still mourning the loss of Hillary and Bernie but they are “soul-searching” and have a “renewed sense of commitment”. You will be glad to know they are organizing protests, forming action groups, creating websites, collecting money, working with far-left organizations like the ACLU, harnessing social media as a megaphone to rally all of us to progressive causes.
The problem wasn’t their message or their candidates, they believe, it’s that they haven’t gotten through to us, so now they’ll use that megaphone more until we hear them.
They apparently don’t want half of America to go to their movies.
“Since the election I’ve had so many people reach out to me expressing their feelings of frustration,” says filmmaker Ryan Piers Williams, who’s married to America Ferrera. “The one consistent question I kept getting is, ‘What can I do? How can I take action?’ ”
He reached out to leaders of the divided communities – LGBTQ, Latino, Muslim, women, native American – to let him know which organizations are making a difference.
They very concerned about illegal aliens.
They have no clue as to how the rest of America lives, nor do they care. They care about illegal aliens.
Williams sees the election as an opportunity. “It fueled a different spirit. It woke up a different beast,” he says. “We’ve got to make time for this. If not, we’re nearing a very rude awakening in our future.”
You can read about all the Hollywood celebrities gearing up to bend us to their will at Variety. They don’t seem to understand that no one cares what they think. They should have taken Mark Wahlberg’s advice and stopped talking about politics. They’ve learned nothing.
