How’s That Weaponized EPA Doing

It’s not only the EPA that has been weaponized and used as a hammer on industry, it’s the state bureaucracies as well. We’re on a suicidal path if the next president doesn’t at least reign the Federal agencies in. Still public health advocates and environmental extremists believe the EPA hasn’t gone far enough.

In April, the American Lung Association came out with the top ten U.S. cities with the most ozone pollution in 2015:

1. Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA
2. Visalia-Porterville-Hanford, CA
3. Bakersfield, CA
4. Fresno-Madera, CA
5. Sacramento-Roseville, CA
6. Houston-The Woodlands, TX
7. Dallas-Fort Worth, TX-OK
8. Modesto-Merced, CA
9. Las Vegas-Henderson, NV-AZ
10. Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale, AZ

California has 6 of the 10 dirtiest cities in the country which is ironic give their extreme environmental policies. Some of the cities affected are desperately poor because of regulations that have wrecked or at least hurt the agriculture industry.

Cleaning up pollution is very important but as they discuss in the video below, there is a law of diminishing returns. Eventually the government agencies – state and Federal – become so big and so outlast their usefulness that they exist solely for self-propagation and to further the employment of pencil pushers.

These government agencies sometimes cause problems as in the EPA’s massive toxic spill into the Animas River.

Gina McCarthy, EPA Chief

EPA regulations are expected to cost an extraordinary $386 billion dollars this year. In addition, the White House is using the EPA and the Clean Air and Clean Water Acts to bludgeon business and the energy industry. The EPA is the agency that rewarded itself with $144 million in trophies and bonuses since 2007.

A million here, a million there, and pretty soon, you’re talking about a lot of money.

The Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy, a watchdog organization, says the EPA continually ignores its own findings and “improperly certified” that its new rules comply with federal regulations that ensure small businesses won’t be hurt.

Manufacturers are very concerned about the new regulations that will seriously harm business while the Waters of the USA rule is expected to drown property rights as well as economic growth.

As part of the war on fossil fuels, the EPA has established the first ever methane rules. They are after the gas and oil sector, hoping to cut methane emissions by an imposing 45% by 2025 but what they are really after is the demise of the oil and gas industry without even having a workable alternative.

The EPA organizes events with the Soros-Podesta Center for American Progress, a far-left crazy organization. They have one of these events coming up on October 22nd to discuss methane emissions. When you have the EPA weaponized and following the direction laid out by a radical left organization, you know you’re in trouble.
