Italian coastguards seized a migrant rescue boat operated by a German aid group in the Mediterranean suspected of aiding illegal immigration from Libya, a prosecutor said on Wednesday.
Video showed the Iuventa, which is run by Jugend Rettet, arriving at the island of Lampedusa surrounded by several coastguard vessels after it was stopped at sea before dawn. The ship was seized and apparently released but they can no longer operate in the migrant travel zone.
It was the first time Italian police have seized a “humanitarian boat”. The move came amidst growing suspicion over the role non-governmental organizations [NGOs] are playing in picking up migrants off the Libya coast and bringing them to Italian ports.
This particular ship was caught transferring migrants from human smugglers to their ship.

A prosecutor in Trapani, Sicily had ordered the ship seized on suspicion of facilitating illegal immigration. Jugend Rettet is one of nine NGOs that refused to sign the code of conduct issued by the Italian government. It covers migrant rescues but the Berlin-based organization refused, saying it doesn’t prioritize saving lives.
A number of the ships engaged in “humanitarian” operations are transporting migrants from Africa to Italy around the clock. Some of those are in turn are funded in part by George Soros or are tied to Hillary Clinton donors.

The NGOs tied to ships involved in the operation are Migrant Offshore Aid Station (MOAS), Jugend Rettet, Stichting Bootvluchting, Médecins Sans Frontières, Save the Children, Proactiva Open Arms, Sea-Watch.org, Sea-Eye and Life Boat.
Disobedient Media, an organization comprised of a small team of investigative reporters, investigated and released their results in February. They found that many of these “humanitarian” ships are funded by Soros’s Open Society or Hillary donors.
Many of the migrants are not refugees, but rather they are economic migrants. There are also reports that ISIS is exploiting the smuggling operations.
There has been an unabated invasion of Italy by migrants from Africa and many globalists like George Soros support it.
