You cannot have massive legal and illegal immigration at the same time you are growing an enormous welfare state but that is exactly want Barack Obama and the Democrats are doing. They don’t care because it gets them voters and ends all dissent.
Next year, 700,000 illegal immigrants unlawfully given amnesty will receive monthly benefits, in addition to up to $35,000 in IRS tax credits. At year-end 2014, 541,000 new Social Security numbers were issued to illegals known as DREAMers (DACA) and their parents (DAPA).
Illegal immigrants will collect old age benefits, survivor’s benefits, and disability insurance.
Social Security Welfare [SSA] is proceeding as if Obama’s illegal DAPA amnesty went through though it did not. It is proceeding as if nothing has changed in the wake of a federal judge’s injunction against Obama’s November 2014 executive actions.
“By the end of FY 2014, we had issued approximately 541,000 original SSNs to individuals authorized to work under the 2012 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy since its inception,” a letter from Acting Commissioner of the SSA Carolyn Colvin to Senator Jeff Sessions said.
Colvin added that the process for granting SSNs is “rigorous.” Her agency currently has 6.5 million SSNs for 112-year-olds on file.
That’s of course not true.
“We have longstanding, rigorous procedures for processing SSN requests,” Colvin wrote. “Under our stringent requirements, SSN applicants must present evidence of identity, age, and work-authorization immigration status.”
Almost anyone who applies as a DREAMer is accepted. Only 2.1% have been denied according to the Washington Free Beacon.
The Democrats will give away all our money. They’re thieves.
Obama’s executive action will allow at least an additional 5 million illegal aliens to live in the United States without facing deportation. It’s been held up in the courts but many are getting through anyway.
Tax credits are given to people who don’t earn enough monty to be taxed though many work off the books. We were told illegal immigrants were people who would grow our economy, who are better workers than Americans, and who will not be on welfare.
Most prior research indicates that about half of illegal immigrants, who are about one-fourth of all immigrants, are paid “off the books” and do not have taxes withheld from their paychecks. They will get taxpayer-funded tax credits.
The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program applies to illegal immigrants brought to the country before they were 16 and who are younger than 30. President Obama authorized the agency to issue work permits after legislation granting amnesty to young illegal aliens failed in the Democrat-controlled Congress in 2010.
DAPA gives amnesty to their families and that is has been held up by court decisions which mean little to the Demcorats.
In March of last year, Barack Obama’s executive order cost taxpayers $1.7 billion dollars in refundable tax credits for illegal aliens who fall under his extended illegal amnesty.
Under Obama’s executive order, eligible workers would be given Social Security numbers, and that would allow them to work legally while the order is in effect. They could file a 1040 tax return, or amended returns for three years prior – the statute of limitations for amending a tax return – and potentially qualify for the refundable Earned Income Tax Credit.
They were even allowed to re-file their fraudulent returns for three years back.
It was part of Obama’s reward the people who come here illegally program.
Senator Grassley announced last year that he was working on legislation that would keep the tax code from rewarding those who broke immigration laws.
“With the stroke of a pen, the President rewarded those working illegally in the United States with a tax benefit that is designed to encourage low-income individuals to enter the workforce,” Grassley said. “Given that the IRS is intent on standing by its present interpretation of the eligibility requirements, I’m working on legislation to uphold an important principle that many of us in Congress support.”
The Center for Immigration Studies reported that “in 2012, 51% of households headed by an immigrant (legal or illegal) reported that they used at least one welfare program during the year, compared to 30% of native households.” A stunning 71% of illegal immigrant households with children collect some form of welfare generally on behalf of their children.
About 28% of immigrants into the US are here illegally.
