Iran will get $50 billion immediately for signing the deal. That is an immediate infusion of cash for their terror state and doesn’t give much meaning to phasing out sanctions.
Iran has also promised to sell enriched uranium on the open market to “make some money from it”. That will spur the arms race which this deal is supposed to stop.
Since Iran will not agree to the promised “intrusive” inspections, we will have no way of ensuring that Iran is not building the bomb. As it is, the deal only delays the building of the bomb and that would be if the State Department fact sheet was accurate.
Under the nuclear deal, Iran will be allowed to continue enriching uranium. Iran also will be allowed to develop advanced uranium-enrichment centrifuges for the duration of a final agreement. According to a French fact sheet on the framework, Iran will be permitted to install advanced centrifuges between the tenth and 13th years of a final agreement.
On the Thursday after the deal was signed, Mohhad Javad Zarif said that once a final agreement is made, “all U.S. nuclear related secondary sanctions will be terminated, and will not be forced to shut down any of its currently operating nuclear installations,” he said. “This, I think, would be a major step forward.”
Zarif also revealed that Iran will be allowed to sell “enriched uranium” in the international market place and will be “hopefully making some money” from it.
A Wall Street Journal article on Friday says this:
“The Obama administration estimates Iran has between $100 billion and $140 billion of its oil revenue frozen in offshore accounts as a result of sanctions. U.S. officials said they expect Tehran to gain access to these funds in phases as part of a final deal.
Iran could receive somewhere between $30 billion and $50 billion upon signing the agreement, said congressional officials briefed by the administration.
Complicating negotiations, U.S.-ally Saudi Arabia has repeatedly charged in recent weeks that Iran has provided significant funding, arms and training to Shiite insurgents in Yemen who gained control of the country’s capital, San’a, and forced the country’s president to flee.
Iran has denied these allegations. Iran also is a major supporter of the Lebanese militia Hezbollah, the Assad regime in Syria and a group of Shiite militias fighting in Iraq.”
Barack Obama will say he is phasing out sanctions, but after giving them $50 million or so, it won’t matter.
Iran will have immediate access to as much as $50 billion which will boost its GDP by 10%. All the other sanctions will be irrelevant once they have this immediate infusion of cash for their terror state infrastructure which will help them reach their ultimate goal of destroying Israel and the United States.
On Saturday, the Iranian Supreme Leader’s top adviser Ali Akbar Velayati told Fars news agency that Iran does not want to have any agreement with the U.S. but they are doing it to establish their nuclear rights, which they falsely claim is for peaceful purposes.
“We are not keen to reach an agreement with the Americans, but what is evident is that Iran wants to preserve its nuclear rights to be able to use nuclear energy within the peaceful framework of international regulations and it has taken part in the negotiations with the Group 5+1 (the US, Russia, China, France and Britain plus Germany),” the Iranian Supreme Leader’s top aide told reporters on Saturday.
As he said, the nuclear deal will ensure that Iran will be a nuclear state. It’s also a deal that allows them to enrich and sell uranium, and to whom will this terrorist state sell it?
Dr. Charles Krauthammer says we have reached an “awful moment” in the nuclear deal.
