The government in Missouri is looking to illegally collect and store the records of concealed gun carry holders in violation of Missouri law. The government is after the 10th Amendment now!!!
Dana Loesch reported the story of a Missouri man, Eric Griffin, who applied for a concealed carry permit and was denied after he refused to allow the improper scanning and collection of the documents by the DMV. They denied his permit.
His lawyer [Atty Otter] said Griffin acted within his rights. The Department of Revenue apparently installed new computer equipment to record the information as part of the federal Real ID Act of 2005 in violation of the state laws which prohibit compliance with that portion of the Real Act.
It turns out that the documents are being forwarded to Morpho Trust USA, a Georgia company that partners with state and federal government agencies.
There are serious privacy concerns here. The day the suit seeking an injunction was brought against the IRS, the judge issued it.
Lt. Governor Peter Kinder fully supports Mr. Griffin’s suit. “Department of Revenue is working with the Department of Homeland Security to install new hard and software to obtain data on Missouri citizens and transfer this information to DHS and unnamed third parties, says Kinder. Kinder and the Stoddard County Prosceutor today took legal action and held a press conference outlining the infringement on civil liberties as posted by the DoR and DHS. ” [Dana Loesch Radio]
