ISIS Already Exploited the US Refugee Program

A report out last week by the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee found that both our  Northern and Southern borders are wide open and are subject to exploitation by terrorists. Today Representative McCaul said that based on good authority ISIS has already attempted to exploit our refugee program.

The terrorists are being trained to come here and kill us or to even infiltrate our political and economic systems.

The terror “housewife” Tashfeen Malik began the attack last Wednesday and she was the one who shot at police as they fled hours after the attack. She is the one who tweeted al-Baghdadi. She was obviously trained before she ever came to the US.

Both of the terrorists or at least one went to the shooting range a few days before the attack. They also did some dry shooting in a neighbor’s backyard. The bombs were set off to kill First Responders. The couple received $28,000 from overseas and Syed withdrew $10,000 in the weeks before the killings to buy the rifles. There is no question this was well-planned and they were funded by outside sources.

The photo below acquired by abc news shows the dreary couple when Tashfeen first came to the US.

Rep, Michael McCaul gave a speech today at National Defense University in DC and said what we should have heard from the president last evening. It is well worth listening to. You can listen to Rep. McCaul beginning at about 6:20 on this link. One of the statements he made was most concerning. ISIS has already exploited the US refugee program – as they promised.

“ISIS members in Syria have attempted to exploit [the refugee program] to get into the United States,” McCaul announced. “The U.S. government has information to indicate that individuals tied to terrorist groups in Syria have already attempted to gain access to our country through the U.S. refugee program.”

McCaul was given the information from “elements of the intelligence community.”

“That was very courageous for them to come forward with this, to tell me about this personally, given the political debate on the Hill,” McCaul said. The information was given at a briefing.

“I believe the state of our homeland is increasingly not secure,” warned McCaul.“I believe 2015 will be seen as a watershed year in this long war — the year when our enemies gained an upper hand and when the spread of terror once again awoke the West.”

“This is just the beginning,” McCaul vowed. “Over the coming weeks, we will introduce a slate of new bills based on the findings of the [bipartisan congressional] task force to keep terrorists from crossing our borders.”

This is taking place while congress is debating the spending bill which will fund Obama’s Syrian refugee program. He will not care about the dangers. He will let them in without proper vetting.

McCaul said today that “who we are is who we were”. We cannot forget the courage of the Greatest Generation as we face another generation-long struggle, we “must adopt their resolve.” The security of our homeland and the security of the free world depend on our determination to lead,” McCaul said.

ISIS plans to pass their hatred to a new generation.
