Kim Jong Un Fleeing on Horseback (think they'll catch him?)

In case you were worried, Young Un is probably fine. There were reports earlier today that Kim Jong Un was assassinated or on the run.

The mainstream news outlets report the following as untrue: The Internet was abuzz today via Weibo, North Korea’s version of twitter, that Kim Jong-un, the recently appointed Supreme Leader, has either been assassinated or is on the run.

He was chosen by his father to take over the reigns but several other relatives wield the real power in the country.

One person on Weibo wrote (loose translation): “north korea’s biggest leader kim jung un, this morning in beijing time 2:45 am, had his residence broken into and was assassinated by unidentified people, who were shot dead by his bodyguards in korea’s embassy in beijing, vehicles are rapidly increasing in number, and have surpassed 30 of them, this sort of battle formation hasn’t been seen in over two years. please verify this.”

Another said he escaped and fled.

Un’s administration was recently responsible for mass imprisonments of people who did not cry sincerely or did not show up for his father’s funeral. There were rumors that his father, Kim Jong Il, also was assassinated. Read here: Reuters

Mainstream outlets such as ABC news stated that they have no reason to believe the rumors. Usually, they see troop movements when something of this nature occurs and there is nothing untoward occurring in the country.
