Lara Logan Is Suspended, But What If the FBI Lied?

Lara Logan and her producer have been suspended for interviewing a witness whose testimony during the 60 Minutes expose on Benghazi differed from the FBI intake report. Ms. Logan said she made a mistake by airing this interview and she apologized publicly more than once.

The 60 Minutes report was a hard hitting piece with an anti-Obama message. Is it possible that an undoubtedly angry president looked for a way to debunk this story which damaged his credibility? He has been seen as vindictive towards opponents on many occasions.

The CBS news chair suspended Logan and her producer for an unspecified length of time. The Chair is the one who okayed the report in the first place. He should have suspended himself.

After the 60 Minutes report aired, the FBI intake report with Mr. Davies mysteriously showed up at CBS. It indicated that there were conflicting stories told by Dylan Davies aka Morgan Jones. He was the key witness for the 60 Minutes report because he claimed to have new information.

How do we know this FBI report is truthful? Why do we believe them over Davies? Holder runs the DOJ and he is not known for his veracity.

Davies lied to his superiors about being at the mission that night. He said he was not supposed to be there and that is why he lied. CBS says that should have been a warning sign for Logan.

CBS said Davies had given “varying and conflicting accounts of his story.” Davies was also hawking a book about Benghazi which was not revealed during the interview.

CBS also said Logan should not have done the report in the first place because it was a conflict of interests. She accused the U.S. government of lying about the attack prior to the airing of the Benghazi report.

The government obviously did lie. We all know they lied.

Go to 00:50 on this video to hear Lara Logan accusing the administration of lying:

Lara Logan is an outstanding reporter with tremendous integrity. She is also very courageous. She almost died in Egypt when she was assaulted by a couple hundred men while she was covering the revolution for CBS.

What if the FBI lied? Why did CBS have an FBI report? The Congress can’t even get that information but CBS can? Why do we believe the FBI over Mr. Davies? I think this needs to be met with some measure of skepticism.

Details about why CBS says they suspended Lara Logan and her producer can be found on this link. What we can’t find out anywhere is if the White House was involved and put pressure on CBS.

So Laura Logan and her producer have been punished because of accusations they didn’t investigate the source of their report throughly enough. Meanwhile one of the suspects in the Benghazi murders was spotted happily giving media interviews in a very public cafe’ not that long ago.
So a suspected killer gives his side of the story without fear of being arrested, and a proven intrepid reporter gets booted from her job for doing something that didn’t get a single American killed.
    Sick.

      That’s their idea of fairness.

Lara Logan is a hero and a victim of the most corrupt and dangerous administration in history.

Alot of what Mr. Davies said in that interview has some merit based off my experience. It was obvious to many of us that the folks in D.C. lied and they are going to get away with! There is zero accountability in this government unless of course you deviate from the agenda. They do as they please with zero repercussions and even when the media (which is rare) hold it accountable tactics that are alien to this republic are used to shut them down.

I think Lara Logan is a victim too and Mr. Davies probably has it right.

This is a completely thuggish and lawless administration. They do whatever they want.

Anybody ever heard of a lie detector test? You think Mr. Davies might agree to submit to one?
