Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo told CNN she intends to sue Fox News over the channel’s coverage of supposed “no go” zones for non-Muslims.
If the left thinks they are going to hurt Fox, they are sadly mistaken. It’s a frivolous lawsuit.
France doesn’t even allow Fox shown in their country.
Ms. Hidalgo was born in Spain and is a Socialist who comes from a family of Socialists. She is a fan of cultural diversity.
She said she wants the words “no-go zones” removed.
“When we’re insulted, and when we’ve had an image, then I think we’ll have to sue, I think we’ll have to go to court, in order to have these words removed,” Hidalgo told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour. “The image of Paris has been prejudiced, and the honor of Paris has been prejudiced.”
Fox News did “remove” it by apologizing profusely on several occasions on air.
It appears to be an effort by yet another leftist to shut down free speech and the one station that gives voice to an opposing opinion. She is entitled to sue but the jaundiced coverage by the media and other leftists that will come from it will not be fair.
It will fail.
Fox is the station that gives Republicans a fair shot and leftists are already thinking about 2016. They would love it if they neutralized the voice of the non-left.
The left wants to shut down “hate speech” which can mean anything and can be as simple as an “insult”. An “insult” is an insult if the person or group insulted says it is.
The mayor came up with her comments during an interview with – who else – Christiane Amanpour which will be aired in full Tuesday afternoon.
Aside from being a leftist herself, Ms. Amanpour works for CNN which is in competition with Fox News and is losing handily in the ratings.
No one is going to turn off Fox and watch the most boring of stations – CNN.
The leftists and the fascists here-and-abroad are out to destroy Fox – remember the war on Fox?
Fox has not yet responded.
Fox News apologized four times on Saturday for their coverage of the “no-go zones”. The Fox coverage was wrong on at least three points but their apology claimed there were no areas where people dared not tread. That’s not true. Fox was more correct the first time.
The errors were made on opinion shows not on the news broadcast.
It’s unfortunate mistakes were made because Fox News has been in the crosshairs since Barack Obama came to office and Media Matters declared war on them.
CAIR, which is tied to the Muslim Brotherhood, has been incensed over all Fox News coverage of radical Islam.
This is an opportunity for the leftists and it will reflect on everyone to the political right of these people.
The left is going after Governor Bobby Jindal for the same reason they are going after Fox. Breitbart has a piece up on it stating that CNN had said much the same thing that Bobby Jindal has been saying about no-go zones.
CNN are the ones who ran the Muslim Patrol piece:
