“What we know is that — as human beings are placed under strain, then bad things happen,” Obama told CBS Friday. “And, you know, if you look at world history, whenever people are desperate, when people start lacking food, when people — are not able to make a living or take care of their families — that’s when ideologies arise that are dangerous.”
The Farook’s, however, the San Bernardino terrorists, lived in sunny California. The husband had a good job and both were well-educated. The family wasn’t dealing with weather issues and didn’t need a job. Earlier this year, the people he killed – the infidels – threw him and his wife a baby shower.
CAIR represented the family on the night of the attacks. CAIR has been designated a terrorist group by the UAE over the objections of Barack Obama. They are tied to the Holy Land Terror funding case and are un-indicted co-conspirators.
We keep hearing that the wife might have radicalized the husband. He was leaning in that direction and sought her out, however. Syed Rizwan Farook, had contact with people from at least two terrorist organizations overseas, including the Al Qaeda-affiliated Nusra Front in Syria, a federal law enforcement official said. He didn’t need any radicalizing, though Malik was the one to shoot first in the attack when the husband hesitated, according to witnesses.
As an aside, these jihadists are the same people. Al Qaeda and ISIS are exactly the same. The difference is Al Qaeda is led by Al Zawahiri and ISIS is led by al-Baghdadi. They all want the same things.
Syed’s family is fairly sketchy.
Syed Farook’s sister received a certificate of appreciation from The Islamic Circle of North America Sister’s Wing – the US branch of Jamaat-e-Islami, a branch of the terrorist group, The Muslim Brotherhood.

Syed Farook’s Pakistani mother Rafia Farook, is also an active member of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA). The group promotes the establishment of a caliphate.
Farook’s father said his son was extremely liberal, obsessed with Israel, and an extremely religious Muslim from his early years.
All fundamentalist Muslims hate infidels by the way.
These people are definitely Obama voters.
Farook confirmed that his son spoke of Islamic State (noting, “Who doesn’t these days?”) and “prescribed to the ideals outlined by IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi,” which included hating Israel.
In an interview with Italian daily La Stampa, Farook described his son as “an angel” and said that he once tried to console his son by promising him that Israel would not exist in another two years because “China, Russia and America will bring the Jews back to Ukraine.”
In Sunday’s La Stampa (link in Italian) report, Farook said, “My son said that he shared [IS leader Abu Bakr] Al Baghdadi’s ideology and supported the creation of the Islamic State. He was also obsessed with Israel.”
“I told him he had to stay calm and be patient because in two years Israel will not exist any more. Geopolitics is changing: Russia, China and America don’t want Jews there any more. They are going to bring the Jews back to Ukraine. What is the point of fighting? We have already done it and we lost. Israel is not to be fought with weapons, but with politics. But he did not listen to me, he was obsessed,” Farook explained to US correspondent Paolo Mastrolilli.
Oh, and by the way, his wife, “the shy housewife” as family lawyers described her, gave a false Pakistani address when she applied for her rubber stamp K-1 visa.
Nice job customs enforcement! They will do a great job vetting all those refugees Obama plans to bring in.
Mrs. Farook dressed in normal Western clothes until she went to the university. She was the “modern woman,” daughter of a rich family.
A Pakistan-born Muslim, she spoke broken English, wore a veil in public, avoided her neighbors and refused to drive, even after giving birth to her first child in May, NBC News reported.
Malik was from the province of Punjab but had lived with her family in Saudi Arabia for many years before returning to Pakistan to study pharmacy. She first met Farook who was born in Illinois to Pakistani parents, online. They agreed to meet in Saudi Arabia in 2013, when he made a pilgrimage to Mecca that is required of Muslims.
A maid who worked in the home where Malik lived told the AP that at one point the young woman wore a scarf that covered her head but not her face. A year before she got married, Malik began wearing a scarf that covered all but her nose and eyes, said the maid who spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of jeopardizing her job with the family.
Syed Farook was born in Chicago and married Tashfeen Malik two years ago after bringing her from Pakistan on a fiancée visa, officials said.
Relatives said she also began posting extremist material on Facebook and spoke in Arabic to a mystery caller late at night. Others said family were influential and known to have extremist links. She posted her pledge to al-Baghdadi moments before the attack.
Farook declared himself in complete despair and disbelief over what his son allegedly did. His daughters, Rizwan’s sisters, told The New York Times that they had seen no warning signs.
Israel MK and a criminologist for two decades, Avrumi Berko, has spoken with many terrorists and she didn’t mention a thing about the weather when discussing their motivations.
Berko said that unlike suicide bombers, the current attackers “don’t necessarily think they won’t get out alive. They think they might not get out alive. It’s not the same.”
Berko says the attackers are committing these acts for the sake of “glory” and compete for greatest hero. In heaven, they “will meet 72 virgins, drink until they’re intoxicated and have lots of sex.”
Terrorists have told Berko what heaven will be like.
“As far as they were concerned, beyond meeting Allah, the prophet Muhammad, and other shaheeds, paradise was a place for the pleasures of the flesh. There were eternal virgins with transparent white skin, and there were no physiological needs. There was food, rivers of honey and alcohol. [One prisoner] added it would be a place where sexually inexperienced adolescents met virgins.”
It’s not clear what the female terrorists get out of it.
It is important to note that no gun law would have stopped Syed and Tashfeen. He was a US citizen, not on the no-fly list and did not have a criminal history. No bomb law would have stopped them either
