Maddow Publishes Trump’s Illegally Obtained 2005 Tax Return Proving He Pays His Taxes

Rachel Maddow’s entire Monday evening show on MSNBC centered around Donald Trump’s 2005 tax returns [two pages]. The 1040 shows Trump paid 38 million dollars in taxes on an income of $150 million as well as having paid tens of millions in taxes in sales and excise taxes and employment taxes.

She condemned him for taking legal deductions and twitter leftists say he took more deductions than was “right”.

His deductions was based on a large prior loss.

Maddow and MSNBC should be in serious legal trouble since it is a felony to publish a person’s federal tax returns without their consent. Maddow says it is legal for them to publish his tax returns under the First Amendment.

That’s debatable. After The New York Times published the 1995 tax returns of Donald Trump, Callum Borchers at The Washington Post and others said it might be illegal.

During a panel discussion at Harvard Law School in mid-September, Bob Woodward, associate editor of The Washington Post, and Dean Baquet, executive editor of The New York Times, presciently discussed whether they would publish Trump’s tax returns if they got ahold of them.

“You know what your lawyers would tell you,” Woodward said. “If you publish them, you go to jail.” Baquet said he would “seriously fight to publish [Trump’s] tax returns.”

If it’s legal to publish, it’s not legal to steal them and the ethics of publishing them should be considered.

These 2005 returns allegedly turned up in the mailbox of investigative journalist David Cay Johnston. They were obviously illegally obtained by someone.

Maddow and the “journalist” are trying to tie Trump to Russian oligarchs but they have nothing linking him to Russia except he sold his house to a so-called Russian oligarch at a profit over what he the house originally cost years before ($60 million over on a $100 million house). Houses were skyrocketing at that time.

The outlandish insinuation is the Russian oligarch somehow knew he’d have influence eleven years later. That qualifies as a conspiracy theory.

It’s fake news and they’ve snookered the viewers. It’s a report about a nothing burger with no evidence of anything. What a joke.

We haven’t seen anything like this since Geraldo Rivera and his calamitous and much-publicized opening of Al Capone’s empty safe.

They fail to mention these had to have been obtained illegally by someone, possibly a government agent. Someone needs to go to jail.

What should be scary to everyone is operatives in the government might have leaked information we pay them to protect and it was leaked to attack a political opponent.

These lawbreakers are the same people who complain about Trump ordering law enforcement to follow the law.

This needs to be investigated.

Maddow tweeted about it earlier but Trump pre-empted her illegal “scoop” by releasing them himself.

A White House release concludes that “it is totally illegal to steal and publish tax returns,” and fired off a parting shot about the “dishonest media.”

From the statement: “You know you are desperate for ratings when you…push a story about two pages of tax returns from over a decade ago…[In2005] Trump paid $38 million…on an income of more than $150 million.” That is an effective rate of 25 percent (more than Romney).

It’s also more than Obama at 19% or Comcast at 24% or Sanders at 13.5% in 2014.

The leftists on twitter are thrilled about this crime because they hate Trump.

Mark Simone’s tweet was funny but what if Trump has Russian gold in this teeth? Huh? Huh?
