Social justice means illegal immigrants are to receive all the exact same benefits as citizens, including college benefits – grants, scholarships, and in-state tuition, which is also referred to as tuition equality.
A private college in Arizona is charging students a fee to fund a scholarship for illegal immigrants. It’s a small fee to begin with but it’s a giant step for Marxist social justice.
Prescott College is tacking a $30 annual fee onto its $28,000 annual tuition to establish an annual scholarship for illegal alien students, as part of a policy first proposed by students and faculty from the undergraduate and Social Justice and Human Rights Master of Arts divisions.
Students can opt out but the fee will be automatically imposed if they don’t. The school administration says they want to reverse Arizona’s discriminatory reputation.
Arizona passed a law that mimicked the Federal law and tried to implement immigration law as it stands on the books.
“I am proud that our students take on the role of scholar activists,” said school President John Flicker, adding that the university is committed to “broaden access to higher education for a diverse group of students” and “mobilize its resources towards social justice.”
“It is beyond absurd that this college is going to force all the students to subsidize the education of a student who is in the country illegally,” said Jessica Vaughan of the Center for Immigration Studies.
It’s one more way to encourage illegal immigration.
As it is nearly half of student loans recipients have stopped making payments. Many have never made any payments. It has created a $200 billion bubble so far. The Department of Education is perplexed by it which is further proof that they are useless.
About 43% of the roughly 22 million Americans with federal student loans weren’t making payments as of Jan. 1, according to a quarterly report by the Education Department who owns the $1.2 trillion loan program. When contacted, 250 to 300 times, the borrowers fail to respond in most cases.
Since Daddy Government took over the loan program, the number of defaults have risen drastically.
Despite this, many states are giving grants, scholarships and reduced loans to illegal immigrants and the Federal government encourages it.
