A weekend of memorializing Michael Brown, pictured above, ended in several gun battles.
Tyrone Harris Jr., age19, is in critical condition after going up to an unmarked police car and opening fire. Officers shot back. He fired even after officers shot back.
Bystanders hit the ground during the shooting.
Harris’ father said he was a close friend of Michael Brown’s.

In a separate incident prior to that shooting, “an exchange of gunfire between two groups” rang out around 11:15 p.m. Sunday while protesters were gathered on West Florissant Avenue, a business zone that saw rioting and looting last year after Brown’s killing. The shots sent protesters and reporters running for cover.
There were six shooters who the chief said unleashed a “remarkable” amount of gunfire in less than a minute. They were gang members according to reports but some of the protesters looked like gang members also.
A reporter was mugged and one officer was treated for cuts after a rock was thrown at his face, and two officers were pepper-sprayed by protesters, county police spokesman Officer Shawn McGuire said in an email. Five people were arrested, according to records McGuire released.
There was a drive-by near the protesters with two teens being shot. They were targeted.
We are being told it had nothing to do with the protesters. Would the Tea Party have gotten the same consideration? Of course, the majority of people did behave appropriately but there is a lot of whitewashing going on.
Several protesters were arrested this morning and stores have been looted.
