Milwaukee Police Chief Edward Flynn was caught on his cellphone during a public meeting after protests in sympathy with the people of Ferguson. Chief Flynn mades some very heartfelt and powerful statements on the video clip below.

If you want to hear someone who sounds rational and honest, he’s the one to listen to.

After being criticized for checking his cellphone, he said this: “I was following developments with a five-year old little girl sitting on her dad’s lap who just got shot in the head by a driveby shooting and if some of the people in this community gave a good God damn about the victimization of people in this community by crime, I’d take some of their invective more seriously. The greatest racial disparity in the city of Milwaukee is getting shot and killed, hello. Eighty percent of my homicide victims every year are African-American…”

It’s also worth noting that it wasn’t a white police officer who murdered the little girl. I don’t even know how her parents are supposed to survive this. This is the real problem for blacks, but where is the outrage?
