Mueller’s Russia Collusion Investigation Will Be Over by Thanksgiving?

White House lawyer [Ty] Cobb predicts a quick end to the Mueller probe, according to Reuters. Mr. Cobb said Mueller’s probe was “narrow” and that by the end of the year Trump should no longer be threatened by it.

Mr. Cobb added, “I’d be embarrassed if this is still haunting the White House by Thanksgiving and worse if it’s still haunting him by year end … I think the relevant areas of inquiry by the special counsel are narrow.”

Cobb talks to Trump on an almost daily basis and has been in contact with the team of Robert Mueller. His “projected timeline … suggests a speedier end to Mueller’s probe than several outside experts believe is likely.”

Perhaps Cobb is being optimistic, this entire fiasco seems meant to kill the Republicans, not just Trump, in the 2018 election.

Fired Director of the FBI James Comey admitted under oath that he used a cutout to leak to The New York Times an Oval Office conversation with the president. He leaked it to trigger the appointment of a Special Counsel, even though he knew there was absolutely no evidence that Trump colluded with Russia.

His goal was to have Robert Mueller, his friend and former colleague, target Trump, and we conjecture, embarrass Republicans, despite his admitted knowledge that there was no evidence on which to base such an investigation.

The hacking of the DNC computer could have been the result of Imran Awan’s leaking or it could have been someone else. It might not be a hack and all evidence so far points to a leak. Julian Assange claims to have proof it did not come from Russia which he says he will share with authorities but our government seems uninterested in it.

Comey’s deceit was designed to enlist the police powers of the state to bring down his president. It was easy to do since the enemies in the Deep State are ready and willing. Mueller hired a number of high profile Democrat donors to investigate. It looks like a witch hunt but perhaps nothing at all has turned up.

Mr. Cobb predicts it will end by Thanksgiving. Hopefully he is right.
