The NAACP, under the questionable leadership of Benjamin Todd Jealous, is now demanding the DOJ become involved in the Trayvon Martin case and file civil rights charges against George Zimmerman. Al Sharpton, in addition to supporting the Martin family in a civil suit, is supportive of federal charges against Zimmerman.
Color of law or hate crime are the only two charges that could be leveled and neither applies though having no basis for a charge didn’t stop the States Attorney from falsifying the indictment to get Zimmerman indicted.
Talking heads on Geraldo’s Show said that Trayvon was profiled because of a hoodie, insinuating only blacks wear hoodies. Hoodie is now the “H” word. Stay away from them.
I personally have several hoodies and wonder how a hoodie can symbolize profiling in the farthest reaches of anyone’s imagination.
Zimmerman needs to file a suit against the States Attorney’s office for malicious prosecution.
The NAACP is no longer the great organization it once was. I’ve lost all respect for them since they asked the UN to find Arizona guilty of human rights abuse over SB1070.
This is the letter that went out to the far-left members of MoveOn, an organization that helped bring you the Occupiers.
Dear MoveOn member,
Tonight, a jury acquitted George Zimmerman. But we are not done demanding justice for Trayvon Martin.
We’re calling on the U.S. Justice Department to open a civil rights case against George Zimmerman and have launched a petition to Attorney General Eric Holder. The petition says:
The Department of Justice has closely monitored the State of Florida’s prosecution of the case against George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin murder since it began. Today, with the acquittal of George Zimmerman, it is time for the Department of Justice to act.
The most fundamental of civil rights—the right to life—was violated the night George Zimmerman stalked and then took the life of Trayvon Martin. We ask that the Department of Justice file civil rights charges against Mr. Zimmerman for this egregious violation.
Please address the travesties of the tragic death of Trayvon Martin by acting today.Thank you.

The DOJ already investigated the case and released a statement that there was no sign of racial bias. They are now saying, however, that it is an ongoing investigation. One of the prosecutors, John Guy, said it was not a race-bias case during his rebuttal to the defense’s closing. he said it was about “right and wrong..as simple as that.”
