After trying to shut down an innocent prayer rally in Berkeley without mentioning the violent communists of the left, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi finally issued a statement condemning protest violence.
In a Tuesday statement – it took her days – she called out by name the antifa, or “anti-fascists,” for the first time since Sunday’s leftist violence in Berkeley.
“Our democracy has no room for inciting violence or endangering the public, no matter the ideology of those who commit such acts,” the California Democrat said in a statement. “The violent actions of people calling themselves antifa in Berkeley this weekend deserve unequivocal condemnation, and the perpetrators should be arrested and prosecuted.”
“In California, as across all of our great nation, we have deep reverence for the Constitutional right to peaceful dissent and free speech,” she added. “Non-violence is fundamental to that right.”
“Let us use this sad event to reaffirm that we must never fight hate with hate, and to remember the values of peace, openness and justice that represent the best of America,” Pelosi concluded.
Occupy Wall Street were as violent at times, took over private buildings, destroyed property, and were every bit as crazy but, about them, she said, “God bless them, for their spontaneity. It’s independent … it’s young, it’s spontaneous, and it’s focused. And it’s going to be effective.”
Maxine Waters, who condemned President Trump for not being critical enough of Neo-Nazis and KKK in Charlottesville, has remained silent. We can’t find any statements of condemnation yet from Chuck Schumer, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama.
Even more surprising is the Berkeley Mayor who was listed as a member of BAMN, By Any Means Necessary, an Antifa operation. He says he’s opposed to the violence of the left and it’s time to call them out. He didn’t mention that they are communists, socialists and anarchists.
Got News reports that as of April, Mayor Jesse Arreguin was listed as a member of the communist anti-facist militia (Antifa) By Any Means Necessary (BAMN) on Facebook.
He was among 35 group memberships but has since taken it down. He still lists the lead BAMN ringleader Yvette Falarca as one of his friends on the social media site.
He’s saying something different now in this clip. Also on this clip, a lawyer for the national Lawyer’s Guild supports Antifa. The Guild is a communist front group.
Watch the Antifa loser spray a man in a wheelchair with water from his water bottle. They’re such lovely people.
What kind of sub-humans would try to bully a man in a wheelchair?
Of course it’s Antifa. pic.twitter.com/z5mvRVvB4g
