If you want to keep your eatery open at night in Newark, you will need to hire armed guards and, no, the police can’t do it. You might also be interested to know that the gun laws in Newark are very strict, which has resulted in the criminals and police having all the guns. So far, the criminals are winning.

NJ has one of the most restrictive gun policies in the country, and concealed carry permits are virtually impossible to pbtain unless you work in a profession that requires you to carry large quantities of valuables on a regular basis (like being a traveling diamond salesman). Hi-cap mags aren’t permitted, and you couldn’t own an AR-15 if you tried. You’ll have to find other means of protecting yourself if you really feel that you’ll be in danger.

We should make the gun laws tougher so it stops the spate of honest, law-abiding gun owners who are robbing eateries at night.
