No Joke! California Bill Will End Ban on Communists in Government Jobs

This is not a joke. It’s not satire. As California moves further and further left, a bill passed in the Assembly would allow Communist politicians to keep their government jobs.

The state Assembly voted Monday, May 8 to approve a bill that would eliminate Cold War-era language that allows California to fire any state worker who is a member of the Communist Party.

The idea we have had of Communism is now “outdated” and “archaic” according to Assemblyman Rob Bonta.

The fact that this is even being considered and passed the Assembly when Communism has killed more than 90 million people is disgusting.

Being a Communist in government would no longer be a firing offense. Communists, by nature of their ideology, as with Socialism, seek the overthrow of our Capitalist government.

The Sacramento Bee put it this way:

Lawmakers narrowly approved the bill to repeal part of a law enacted during the Red Scare of the 1940s and ’50s when fear that communists were trying to infiltrate and overthrow the U.S. government was rampant. The bill now goes to the Senate.

It would eliminate part of the law that allows public employees to be fired for being a member of the Communist Party.

Employees could still be fired for being members of organizations they know advocate for overthrowing the government by force or violence.

They make it sound as if the Red Scare was more imagined than real, but the truth is Communism is alive and well. It seeks the overthrow of the government, period.

Assemblyman Randy Voepel, a Southern California Republican who fought in the Vietnam War, said communists in North Korea and China are “still a threat.”

“This bill is blatantly offensive to all Californians,” said Assemblyman Travis Allen, a Republican who represents a coastal district in Southern California. “Communism stands for everything that the United States stands against.”

You won’t be surprised to hear that Bonta is a San Francisco “Democrat”.

The bill updates an “outdated” provision in state law, said Assemblyman Rob Bonta, who also called it “archaic”.

Bonta is a Filipino-American who arranged for the state’s farm labor movement to be taught in schools as part of the curricula. The farm workers’ movement formed under figurehead Cesar Chavez is a Communist movement. Bonta has also assumed the role of the state’s Marijuana regulator. In the past, he arranged for free condoms for prisoners to be issued via dispensers though it met with opposition from those responsible for the prisoners.

We are sowing the seeds of our own destruction and unless right-leaning people can get control of the schools, the culture of music and movies, the country will go far left at some point, sooner rather than later. California has 55 electoral votes.

California Communists and Socialists recently made it clear that they will push the state further left using single-payer as the rallying cry.

There is no doubt we already have Communists in government but they pretend to be Democrats and are embraced by Democrats.

While Nazism is banned, the equally dangerous ideology of Communism is considered mainstream while Conservatism is demonized. It’s Orwellian.

In this clip, Assemblyman Rob Bonta, D-Alameda, introduced his bill before facing opposition from Assemblyman Travis Allen, R-Huntington Beach.
