NYC Banning & Confiscating Folding Knives

CRIMINALS CAN NO LONGER USE FOLDING BUTTER KNIVES AND WILL HAVE TO RESORT TO SCIMITARS AND AXES

Those who think the zealots won’t eventually confiscate your guns need to pay attention to the latest knife confiscation by the NYC DA, Cyrus Vance.

A man killed two people on the No. 2 train in NYC with a kitchen knife. That precipitated NYPD enforcement of the law banning switchblades. Now, in an overreach, any semblance of a one hand opening folding knife (gravity knife) is being confiscated.

Cyrus Vance, the NYC DA, is barging into stores that sell knives to confiscate any that fold!  Don’t you feel much safer now? (I know I don’t.)

NYC residents now have to form organizations to protect their rights to own knives.

This information is from one of the organizations trying to keep their knife rights: “…The Manhattan District Attorney, Cyrus Vance, Jr., has targeted knife retailers including Eastern Mountain Sports, Home Depot, Paragon and Orvis and has confiscated these stores’ inventories including legal knives, which they claim are outlawed switchblades and gravity knives…

What the DA is not telling the public is that his office’s interpretation of a gravity knife is ANY folding knife that can be opened with one hand – no matter how difficult.

Instead of understanding that such knives are used daily for activities including hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities as well as by electricians, construction workers and emergency personnel, New York City is presuming all knives are carried only as weapons for unlawful use against another person…” Read here: One organization fighting for their right to own folding knives.
