Obama is buying more Hispanic votes with his easing of welfare requirements.
A 2011 report from the Center for Immigration Studies combed through eight major welfare programs.
Programs examined included SSI (Supplemental Security Income for low income elderly and disabled), TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families), WIC (Women, Infants, and Children food program), free/reduced school lunch, food stamps (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), Medicaid (health insurance for those with low incomes), public housing, and rent subsidies.
The 2009 findings – from data collected in 2010 – reveal that 57% of immigrant households (legal and illegal) with children used at least one welfare program compared with 39% for native households with children.
Now that President Obama hopes to remove that pesky work requirement from welfare participation, we should expect that expense to increase and with it, there will be an increase in Democratic voters.
The reason for the percentage is not that the immigrants don’t want to work, it is that they have poor education and training.
Our immigration problems go beyond illegal immigration into legal immigration.
The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 changed the way we accept legal immigrants into the country. Under the leadership of LBJ, Hubert Humphrey, Ted Kennedy, the U.S. Congress changed immigration law allowing 85% of the immigrants admitted to come from countries in South America, Mexico, Asia, and Africa.
This law changed the United States dramatically as ethnic minorities from third world countries, mostly Mexico, poured into the United States. As a result, by 2042 or sooner, the United States will have 50 percent non-Hispanic whites.
The United States is changing and Obama is buying the immigrant vote, particularly the Hispanic vote, in every way he can. He is doing it by making them government dependents.
