Obama Made a Call to McConnell and Grassley With a Chilling Suggestion

Barack Obama called Mitch McConnell and Chuck Grassley to let them know he was going to nominate a Supreme Court Justice and his SPOX hinted at a possible nominee – an unsurprisingly horrible choice. No one in the world listens to Obama and he can’t negotiate a deal without giving away the Crown Jewels but every member of Congress caves at the first opportunity to his demands.

If Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley give in and allow Barack Obama’s nominee for Justice Scalia’s seat to come to the floor, it’s only a short matter of time before the person will be appointed.

We all know what that will mean. A leftist will tilt the scales in favor of the far left and every one of their agenda items will be pushed through, leaving no recourse for the right. At that point, we need a new party though it will likely be too late.

Earnest described the calls as “entirely professional” and said Obama made clear “he is going to nominate someone.”

The Obama SPOX said some nice things about Loretta Lynch, who has been mentioned as a potential nominee. She received bipartisan support, he said.

That sounds like a strong suggestion.

Who cares if she received bipartisan support? That was for a different position. The suggestion that she could be one of his top picks cannot be ignored.

According to NBC News, Supreme Court analyst and expert Tom Goldstein believes that the “most likely candidate” to be nominated by Obama for the Supreme Court is none other than Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

She is a reliable far-left appointee who does not follow the Constitution and has little regard for the Bill of Rights in particular.

“He is committed to talking to Congress,” Earnest added. “He reiterated his firm belief that the Senate has a constitutional obligation here as well.”

In fact, they have no constitutional obligation to let Obama’s left-wing appointment come to the floor.

Will these Republicans give in? They always do.

Obama spoke to Grassley Friday morning, after he co-authored an op-ed with McConnell in The Washington Post reiterating their stance that the next president, and not Obama, should pick a replacement for the conservative jurist.

They concluded: Given that we are in the midst of the presidential election process, we believe that the American people should seize the opportunity to weigh in on whom they trust to nominate the next person for a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court. It is today the American people, rather than a lame-duck president whose priorities and policies they just rejected in the most-recent national election, who should be afforded the opportunity to replace Justice Scalia.

What’s with the “should”? Can’t they ever sound like they mean anything and will fight for it? Our freedoms are at stake and we can’t even be certain they will fight.

Every issue that matters eventually finds its way to the Supreme Court — healthcare, policing, open borders, abortion, free speech, gun rights, climate rules, the electoral process and on and on.

The leftists want us to believe that if Republicans don’t cave, the integrity of the political system is at stake. They just want to have complete control and they want to silence all opposition. These people are full-fledged statists.

Democrats have already started using this as a fundraiser and a get out the vote lure.

Hillary Clinton has a new talking point.

“If any of us needed a reminder of just how important it is to take back the United States Senate and hold onto the White House, just look at the Supreme Court,” Clinton said.

Clinton has said she would have “a bunch of litmus tests” for potential nominees, including free speech issues like Citizens’ United.

Bernie Sanders, Hillary’s challenger, has raised opposition to Citizens United as a requirement for any Supreme Court nominees.

Obama refuses to go to the funeral of Justice Scaliw – that’s a message in itself – but he is already working on his list of potential nominees.

Be afraid – very.

This tweet sums up things nicely.

  1. Don’t be surprised if this scumbag announces his nominee during Scalia’s funeral in a “we interrupt your scheduled program” kind of way.

As far as McConnell and Grassley, well, they who holds disdain for the U. S. Constitution themselves folded days ago.
