Obama on Notice to Open the WW II Monument

Obama’s America is a vision of the  Statue of Liberty wrapped in tarps and crime scene tape if it suits a political purpose

If the Monuments and the area around the WW II Monument are not opened up, Judicial Watch plans to sue the federal government because it is unconstitutional to close off an area designated as a free speech area. The Obama administration has shown no signs of letting up, in fact, they’ve doubled down, and we can expect the lawsuit to go forward.

On Monday, Harry Reid and Barack Obama approved a bill passed by the House that would keep the military funded, but when asked Wednesday by a CNN reporter if he would approve a bill to fund NIH and keep the clinical trials going for children with cancer, Reid  said, “Why would we want to do that?”

His explanation for the comment was to blame Republicans for noticing his heartless comment. “Republicans are in such desperate straits that they have literally resorted to accusing me of not caring about kids with cancer. Shameful,” his office tweeted.

It’s Republicans fault even though the question was asked by a CNN reporter and he made the comment from what seemed to be the bottom of his cold, gray heart.

The Obama administration and his stooge, Harry Reid, are completely unreasonable. Why wouldn’t he fund the program for children suffering from cancer? How could he not? Does he feel the media will give him a pass to be as callous and irrational as he wants to be? Will they ignore this or make excuses for him? Will they follow his lead and attack Republicans for his cruel comments? Probably.

Rand Paul weighed in on the issue of shutting down monuments. “If Harry Reid and the president want to keep the parks closed — I mean did you read the story today? Some idiot in government sent goons out there to set up barricades so they couldn’t see the monument. People had to spend hours setting up barricades where there are never barricades to prevent people from seeing the World War II monument because they’re trying to play a charade,” Rand (R-Ky.) said Tuesday on Fox News’s “Hannity.”

On Wednesday, Congressmen again went down to the WW II Memorial and let veterans in to see it, but that might be the last time. The congressmen will have a very difficult time getting anyone through the increased number of barry-cades, the just-added wire and yellow tape, the new sand bags, the mounted police and the other park thugs added on Wednesday.

Obama has the money to spend on barry-cades and goons to guard the monuments to keep ordinary Americans away, but he claims he can’t afford to keep the monuments open that were completely open in the first place. Obama went to a great deal of trouble and expense to make them ‘not open.’ He wants to make this hurt as much as possible.

Remember the administration email that went out to at least one agency telling the supervisor to make Sequester hurt? Read that at The Washington Times.

Judicial Watch will sue if something doesn’t change and it won’t. The area where the World War II Memorial is located is open 24/7, all 365 days a year. It is open for people to exercise freedom of speech, to meditate, and to pray. Jay Sekulow of Judicial Watch will sue the federal government if it is not opened up and kept open.

Sekulow said that Mr. Obama cannot end free speech and close down freedom of assembly for political gamesmanship. The Constitution cannot be suspended. The president does not have the authority to suspend the First Amendment to the Constitution.

In the meantime, Mr. Obama has every outdoor monument barry-caded.
