I’m on vacation in Hurricane-uh-ville and I thought I could stay away from the news. That was impossible. There is so much going on and most of it is bad; and I’m not talking about Hurricane Irene.
Our Czar, Obama, has issued yet another executive order. He is not only mandating racial favoritism for all Federal jobs, but he is creating a governmental organization to handle it. Hey, why not, we have plenty of money.
Executive Order 13583, is titled, “A Coordinated Government-Wide Initiative to Promote Diversity and Inclusion in the Federal Workforce.” Obama has targeted specific groups, including Hispanics, African Americans, American Indians, women and gays and lesbians to be forcibly “included” in the American workforce so as to truly reflect America’s diversity. It won’t be about hiring the best person, it will be about hiring the diverse person.
“…President Obama is telling every federal agency to raise its percentage of blacks, Hispanics, Asians and other racial minorities or heads will roll. The possibility that the result of this ultimatum would be a less efficient and more politicized federal work force apparently is not a subject fit for discussion.
The second part of the executive order, “Government-Wide Diversity and Inclusion and Strategic Plan,” lays out a framework for action. While the order does not create a new agency, it would bring together top officials for establishing broad initiatives. These officials would consist of the director of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and the deputy director for management of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), in coordination with the President’s Management Council (PMC) and the chair of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The group would be responsible for creating a government-wide plan within 90 days, to be followed by agency-specific plans within 120 days.
