The administration is actively and aggressively planning to accept many more Syrian refugees even though there is no way to vet them according to the FBI. We will take at least 8,000 to start and 70,000 – 75,000 is the ultimate goal. An additional 5,000 has been recommended by John Kerry. Democrats insist we take far more. Their end goal is tens of thousands. In May, a group of 14 Democrat senators recommended in writing the immediate influx of 65,000 Syrian refugees.
Yahoo news reported that religious groups want Mr. Obama to take in 100,000 Syrian refugees.
Church World Service, a global humanitarian organization that represents 37 Christian denominations, has called on the government to take in 100,000 Syrians over the next year, said Jen Smyers, who works on the group’s immigration and refugee program.
The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, and the Jewish refugee assistance agency HIAS along with secular groups have also backed that figure.
They would be 100,000 people who cannot be vetted.
The president is planning to take in the usual 75,000 from about 70 countries in addition, many from countries that are in a similar position to Syria, such as Iraq and Somalia. Almost all being selected are Muslims.
There will be no screening possible. We won’t know who these people are.
Quilliam Foundation has gotten hold of an ISIS planning document and translated it. The document outlines a general plan to have ISIS fighters pour into Libya and use it as a gateway to Europe and other lands. They will come disguised as refugees seeking asylum.
Middle Eastern smugglers and at least one ISIS fighter were recently interviewed by Buzzfeed and admitted that they are smuggling terrorists into Europe, 4,000 at least so far. There is no question ISIS is sending terrorists in with the refugees.
The refugees are 75% men and they are fit and mostly young.
Politico and USA Today reported Monday that the Obama administration is “actively considering” ways to ease the growing refugee problem. He is very generous with our rights and doesn’t worry about protecting us and you can be sure at least 75,000 will be admitted.
Some believe Obama wants a borderless United States that easily accepts U.N. rule. The more foreigners that pour in, the more we can expect just such a reality. What do you think?
Politico also suggested that the 70,000 refugees is not nearly enough.
Peter Boogaard, spokesman for the White House National Security Council, said, “The administration is actively considering a range of approaches to be more responsive to the global refugee crisis, including with regard to refugee resettlement. We are also in regular contact with countries in the Middle East and Europe who have been greatly impacted by the increased refugee flows.”
Instead of tackling the problem of ISIS, we will allow this endless and massive migration of people and we will be taking hundreds of thousands of Muslim refugees by 2016. The numbers can change the character of our nation, even if there aren’t terrorists among them.
We should stop the flow from terrorist countries, not encourage it.
Rep. Brian Babin (R-Texas) introduced a bill at the end of July that would place “an immediate suspension on allowing immigrants into the United States under the refugee resettlement program, until the Government Accountability Office (GAO) completes a thorough examination of its costs on federal, state and local governments.”
In a statement, he said: “It is extremely unsettling that the Obama Administration would continue to expand the U.S. resettlement program at such an irresponsible pace in light of our economic and national security challenges…FBI counter-terrorism experts…have openly admitted it is virtually impossible to screen Syrian refugees,” he said.
On the other hand, a group of 14 Democrat senators wrote a letter in May to President Obama urging him to “dramatically increase” the number of Syrian refugees being resettled into American cities and towns.
They want an immediate influx of 65,000 Syrian Muslims as permanent refugees by the end of 2016. There are 4 million registered as refugees with the U.N. They want us to take 350,000 with other “third-party countries.”
The 14 senators, led by Richard Durbin, D-Ill., Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., and Diane Feinstein, D-Calif., cite the research of the Refugee Council USA to make their case for 65,000 Syrian refugees by the end of 2016. RCUSA is the main lobbying arm of the nine agencies that contract with the federal government to resettle refugees in cities and towns across America.
The refugees are supported by government grants – taxpayer dollars – doled out to the nine resettlement agencies. Among them are the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, Church World Service, International Rescue Committee and the National Association of Evangelicals’ World Relief.
The U.N. picks 95% of our refugees, mostly Muslim.
THEY CANNOT BE SCREENED
FBI counter-terrorism experts have openly admitted it is virtually impossible to screen Syrian refugees, precisely because U.S. agents don’t have access to reliable biometric and law enforcement data. Michael Steinbach, deputy assistant director of the FBI counter-terrorism unit, admitted at a hearing before the House Homeland Security committee on Feb. 11 that reliable records are not available in a “failed state” like Syria…”
“There are individuals [in the U.S.] that have been in communication with groups like ISIL who have a desire to conduct an attack” and those people are living in the U.S. right now, Steinbach said.
Mr. Steinbach told a congressional committee the U.S. Syrian refugee program is a “huge mistake.”
The U.S. government had data and intelligence to draw on when it performed background checks on refugees from Iraq in recent years but in the case of Syria, there was “a lack of information,” Steinbach warned.
“The difference is, in Iraq, we were there on the ground collecting, so we had databases to use,” Steinbach told the House Homeland Security Committee.
“The concern is in Syria, the lack of our footprint on the ground in Syria, that the databases won’t have the information we need,” he said.
Rep. McCaul said at the same hearing that it “would be a federally sanctioned welcome party, if you will, to potential terrorists in the United States.” Muslim refugees are currently being resettled in more than 180 cities in the U.S.
They will be Democratic voters no doubt.
The U.S. takes more than twice as many refugees as all countries from the rest of the industrialized world combined, according to Resettlement Watch.
Gatestone Institute states that “The large number of links between Islamic Relief Worldwide and extremist terror groups suggests that buried beneath the cover of a charity lies a structured pro-terror group with an anti-Western agenda.”
The Israeli Ministry for Foreign Affairs calls it a “front” for terrorist groups.
U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta, R-Hazleton spoke to this issue before about 50 members of the Hazleton Rotary Club in mid-July. He expressed deep concern over the threat of terrorism in the United States. As a member of the House Homeland Security Committee, he was most concerned about refugees who cannot be vetted and American citizens returning after being trained in terrorism techniques.
“The goal of ISIS is to attack us here on our soil and to threaten our way of life,” Barletta said. “There is no doubt in my mind that they will continue to do this.”
The threats are real, constant and include criminal threats, counter-intelligence-based threats, cyber threats and terrorism threats.
Earlier this year, the regime relaxed the rules to allow refugees with some terrorist ties into the United States.
AL QAEDA IS PLANNING ATTACKS
In May of last year, FBI director James Comey gave a press conference and said Al Qaida was working with Westerners recruited to fight the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad. Al Qaida could be training scores of operatives to infiltrate Europe and the United States. “Americans who have joined extremist groups allied with al-Qaeda in Syria will return to the United States to carry out terrorist attacks,” Comey said.
The director of the FBI warned that the number of Americans becoming radicalized is “getting worse” with “dozens” at a time joining terrorist forces.
He said further: “All of us with a memory of the ’80s and ’90s saw the line drawn from Afghanistan in the ’80s and ’90s to Sept. 11. We see Syria as that, but an order of magnitude worse in a couple of respects. Far more people going there. Far easier to travel to and back from. So, there’s going to be a diaspora out of Syria at some point and we are determined not to let lines be drawn from Syria today to a future 9/11.”
European and US intelligence communities are very concerned.
Eric Schmidtt reported in the New York Times last summer that Westerners want to join the Syrian rebellion to “help the people suffering there” but often succomb to “jihadist zeal.”
ISIS fighters are now half Westerners.
