Thousands ride trains heading for the U.S.
The Obama administration on Friday announced major policy changes to step up enforcement of existing immigration laws. His idea of doing that is to add more detention centers and to send them to live with relatives.
He is sending more immigration judges and asylum officers to speed up the process – not law enforcement officers but asylum officers. He is giving lawyers to every unaccompanied child.
Our existing law requires us to send them home not give them asylum.
We can expect at least 130,000 minors alone this year.
The average age of unaccompanied minors crossing the border is 14 years, younger than in the past, and hundreds of toddlers under the age of two are being sent over the border with older children and smugglers.
From October 1, 2013 to June 11, Border Patrol detained 378 unaccompanied children ages two or younger, according to data obtained by Fusion from the office of a high-ranking Democratic senator. Of those children, 95 were infants under 1 year old.
What kind of child abusers send their children and babies across a border unaccompanied? Many undoubtedly plan to follow at some point if their children make it through. Some are already here and were willing to risk the lives and welfare of their children to get them here. These are the people who are our future and who we want to grow our nation?
Then there are the migrants. Hundreds are crossing the Rio Grande every day. Alleged families are amassing on the border, waiting for their opportunity to cross. According to border agents, men and women join up with children and pretend they are families because of Mr. Obama’s policy of not separating families. All these families are released on their own recognizance and told to report for deportation/asylum hearings.
People with handicapped children are crossing to get services. Having worked with the handicapped, those services can cost taxpayers between $30,000 and $300.000 a year or more per child.
In Lawrenceville, residents were able to turn the government away after they proposed to use the defunct St. Paul’s College as a shelter. The town is impoverished and cannot afford to be burdened by illegal immigrant children.
A border agent speaking anonymously to alternative media told them, “We do get our isolated cases of people with tuberculosis. There may be a couple that come through that admit to having a communicable disease, but really we don’t check for communicable diseases, that’s not part of the screening process. Unless they tell us they’re sick, we have facilities for that.”
Journalist Daniel Greenfield reports in Front Page Magazine that a “persistent strain of Tuberculosis” is now appearing in some Los Angeles neighborhoods with as many as 4500 exposed.
Greenfield writes: “Besides California and Florida, the states with the greatest number of multi-drug-resistant TB are Texas and New York, all having large numbers of illegal aliens within their borders. Florida was recently ranked as having the third largest illegal alien population by the Department of Homeland Security. Many illegals in Florida come from the Caribbean and other countries in the Southern Hemisphere, some of which have widespread problems with tuberculosis.”
TB is highly contagious and victims are most likely to be the young, the elderly and the sick. One Nepalese man crossing the border illegally had a deadly strain of TB – XDR – which is extensively drug resistant, according to Greenfield. By the time agents realized he had it, the illegals who were housed with him, were long gone and sent to other parts of the country.
America is well on its way to becoming a well-developed welfare state without borders and with insufficient resources to care for the poor, sick, handicapped, and criminal who are being invited here by Mr. Obama. In one school I worked in here on Long Island, five of the special education classes were almost solely illegal immigrants from El Salvador and The Dominican. Each child cost a minimum of over $30,000 per year to educate. All were on free lunch.
There is an increase in the number of OTM’s, Other Than Mexican, on the border and some come from terrorist nations, often posing as Latinos.
Drug cartel members are also making it through. We know that we only capture one-third of those crossing.
Youth with gang tattoos are released on their own recognizance.
Rep. Michael McCaul, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight, Investigations, and Management, released a Majority Staff report entitled “A Line in the Sand: Countering Crime, Violence and Terror at the Southwest Border,” detailing the Subcommittee’s findings regarding the increased presence of Middle East terrorist networks in Latin America and their growing relationship with drug cartels.
The November 2012 report– a follow-up to a 2006 report by Subcommittee Chairman McCaul on the threat Mexican drug cartels pose to the Southwest border – documents increased operational control of Mexican drug cartels inside the U.S., their strategy to move illegal drugs, and the bloody turf wars that have taken place between rival cartels, as they struggle to control valuable trafficking corridors.
Furthermore, the report closely examines the increased presence and influence of Iran and Hezbollah in Latin America and their relationship with drug cartels, including:
· Hezbollah’s known money laundering and major fundraising activities in Latin America;
· documentation that shows a relationship between Hezbollah and Mexican drug cartels as early as 2005; and
· the potential for Hezbollah operatives to use their alliances with the cartels to cross into the U.S. undetected through cartel-controlled smuggling routes across the Southwest border.
For his trouble in following up on the problem, the left-wing media continually accuses him of criminal activity and the left puts up Libertarian candidates to run against him to keep him from winning re-election.
We have no idea who these people are and two-thirds escape into the U.S. undetected.
The media has ignored the story. Channel 2 news did a report in 2010:
We are being kept in the dark.
On June 17 th, Governor Rick Perry told Fox News Fox&Friends, “We have record high numbers of other than Mexicans being apprehended at the border. These are people that are coming from states like Syria that have substantial connections back to terrorist regimes and terrorist operations. So we’re seeing record, historic high numbers of these individuals being apprehended.”
Perry said he warned the Obama administration about the current border chaos in 2012. He is now sending a surge of law enforcement and National Guard to secure the border at a cost of $1.3 million a week.
He will do the job the federal government refuses to do. You need to ask yourself why they won’t. Mostly what they do is deny and set them free on their own recognizance.
Is Barack Obama deliberately overloading the system? Is he willfully denying services to those for whom they are intended to further an agenda?
