Obama Tells Jon Stewart That Deaths of 4 Americans In Libya “Not Optimal”

In an appearance on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” President Obama told Jon Stewart Thursday that the response to the Sept. 11 terror attacks in Benghazi, Libya was “not optimal.”

The same man who told Governor Romney that it’s offensive for anyone to insinuate he or anyone on his team would play politics or mislead about Benghazi and who refuses to tell us the true version of events surrounding the attack, should know that using callous language will not help his cause.

…Stewart told the president, in regard to the administration’s performance in the aftermath of the attacks, that “I would say and even you would admit it was not the optimal response – at least to the American people as far as all of us being on the same page.”

“Here is what I will say, if four Americans get killed it is not optimal,” the president responded. “And we are going to fix it, all of it. And what happens during the course of a presidency, you know the government is a big operation at any given time, something screws up and you make sure you find out what’s broken and you fix it.”

The president’s “optimal” comment seemed to be a reference to Stewart’s characterization of the response, since he used the same word. Some, however, have taken the comment to mean the president was saying the deaths themselves were “not optimal…

I don’t think the comment is much more than a slip. What is important is that President Obama handled Benghazi poorly and deceitful.

Four months before the 9/11 attack, a hole was blown in the consulate wall. President Obama had to know and yet security was not tightened, it was in fact lessened.

Maybe President Obama should stop making appearances on The Daily Show, Letterman, The View and start showing up for intel briefings instead since he missed half of them.

After the heated exchange on Benghazi during the second presidential debate, all the media seemed to talk about was the fact that Michelle Obama applauded her husband, and she did, she started applause that was demeaning to Governor Romney. Unfair tactic? You decide.

There will be a report on Hannity tomorrow which claims the Benghazi consulate was refused help during the attack.

The President allegedly knew about the attack three hours in and went to bed.
