Barack Obama’s presser on ISIS today ignored the seriousness of the ISIS threat but Obama did take the time to call Americans “shameful” for not wanting unvetted Muslims into the country. He told us it is not “who we are” and these aren’t “our values”.
Those “values” have really gotten the French far.
He was offended that some people are willing to take in Christians, but not Muslims. The fact that it is radical Muslims, not Christians who want to attack us eluded him. In fact, 93% of the immigrants we have taken in are Muslim.
His presser was not popular with Americans on both sides of the aisle. Dianne Feinstein made it quite clear that ISIS is NOT CONTAINED. Gloria Borger, Christiane Amanpour, Nick Paton Walsh also had problems with his speech
They would like to know how his strategy is working.
I’d be happy to know what his strategy is. Playing whack-a-mole isn’t usually a strategy.
Dianne Feinstein said she has never been “more concerned.”
SPOX Ben Rhodes, on behalf of Barack Obama, told Chuck Todd we have a “robust” vetting process, which is, of course, untrue.
Rhodes said, “No, Chuck. We have very extensive screening procedures for all Syrian refugees who come to the United States. There is a very careful vetting process that including our terrorism community, our Department of Homeland Security. Let’s remember, Chuck, we’re also dealing with people who suffer the horrors of war. Women and children, orphans. We can’t just shut our doors to those people. We need to do our part to take refugees in need.”
FBI counter-terrorism experts have openly declared that it is virtually impossible to screen Syrian refugees, precisely because U.S. agents don’t have access to reliable biometric and law enforcement data. Michael Steinbach, deputy assistant director of the FBI counter-terrorism unit, admitted at a hearing before the House Homeland Security committee on Feb. 11 that reliable records are not available in a “failed state” like Syria…”
“There are individuals [in the U.S.] that have been in communication with groups like ISIL who have a desire to conduct an attack” and those people are living in the U.S. right now, Steinbach said.
Mr. Steinbach told a congressional committee the U.S. Syrian refugee program is a “huge mistake” a “grave concern.”
The U.S. government had data and intelligence to draw on when it performed background checks on refugees from Iraq in recent years but in the case of Syria, there was “a lack of information,” Steinbach warned.
“The difference is, in Iraq, we were there on the ground collecting, so we had databases to use,” Steinbach told the House Homeland Security Committee.
Obama wants robust vetting and Hillary wants us to do whatever is necessary to vet the refugees but the information DOESN”T EXIST!
Earlier this year, the administration used their pen and phone to relax the rules and allow refugees with possible terror connections into the U.S.
I’ve included most of Barack Obama’s speech here for you to decide what you think. Words can’t describe this speech. No one with a brain could be as incompetent as Obama, therefore, this has to be purposeful.
Senator Cruz said Monday, “Anyone with an Ounce of Common Sense” opposes bringing in refugees. Not Obama – he says we’re “shameful” for thinking such a thing.
Obama said the Paris attack was a “setback” while President Hollande said it was an “act of war”, and Obama minimized it again by saying it was just a “handful” of people who committed the attack. It was a “handful” who took down the Twin Towers in 2001 also. So far, French law enforcement and military have arrested over a hundred people.
Watch if you can stand it. His affect was lethargic, flat and detached as if he were drugged. He was only passionate about insisting refugees be allowed into the country and telling Americans this is “who we are”. I think he should hire the refugees as his security guards because that’s “who we are.”
I didn’t include the questions in this video, but he was unpleasant to the reporters who asked some good questions.
This is the last five minutes where he tells us we’re shameful. If you don’t agree with his far-left morality, you’re “shameful”. No one can dissent.
