The government is going to regulate doctors’ pay under Obamacare and it will be based on the patient’s worthiness.
My doctor’s new patients will be young and healthy because he will be paid by his success rate with each patient. He will get paid far less for patients who do not improve. How can he take people who can’t be cured, who will continually grow sicker or who are elderly? He has to make a living.
He is going to be paid in bulk. Patients who come back for the same problem will be included in the one-time bulk rate.
His pay will depend on patient report cards. Personalized care is out, government one-size fits all healthcare is in.
What person will go into medicine now? How will this help the doctor shortage?
What doctor will want the obese patient or the patient who smokes or drinks? It is now the government’s business. Patients will be tracked and some will be deemed unworthy of more extensive care because of their habits. That is what happens when the government is in charge. It already happens in the UK.
Beware the BMI! Patients will be subject to random BMI checks as CVS recently did with their employees. CVS was criticized but they are merely following Obamacare guidelines. The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recently recommended mandated counseling sessions for obese people and if they don’t comply, they will pay for it with inferior treatment services.
More money will be spent on government snoops than on actual care. Money is allocated to trivial expenses that people can pay for themselves, such as birth control.
More money will be spent on wellness exams and giving people their $250 dollar deductible to cover the donut hole than on catastrophic insurance in Medicare. The government took $716 billion out of Medicare’s future payments and Medicare was recently hit with a 2% cut after not having increases to payments in ten years. The insurance companies cut doctor’s reimbursements by 2% as well.
Obamacare is causing great uncertainty in business. I don’t know if uncertainty is the correct word. Business owners know that once this rolls out, it will be disastrous.
McDonald’s franchisees were recently surveyed and all are concerned. According to one, “Obamacare will negatively hit us like nothing else.” Another wrote, “Obamacare is going to destroy already low profits, McDonald‟s Corporation does not seem to care,” adding, “the future looks BLEAK.”
Businesses with 50 or more full-time workers must provide health care coverage to employees and they have have expressed concern that the new health care law will take from their already meager profits. How can it not? The lower costs promised are turning out to be the opposite – costs are rising faster under Obamacare.
Max Baucus (D-MT) said:
I am very concerned that not enough is being done so far—very concerned. When I’m home, small businesses have no idea what to do, what to expect, they don’t know what affordability rules are, they don’t know what penalties may apply…
A lot of people have no idea about all of this.… I just see a huge train wreck coming down, and you and I have discussed this many times and I don’t see any results yet. (Emphasis added.)
Senator Jay Rockefeller (D–WV), recently stated, “I am of the belief that the ACA [Obamacare] is probably the most complex piece of legislation ever passed by the United States Congress.… [I]t’s just beyond comprehension.”
Max Baucus and Jay Rockefeller helped write the Obamacare bill.
Obamacare has 20,000 pages of rules and they are still writing.
My doctor said Obamacare will never be repealed. I hope he’s wrong. Right now, there is little push back against a program that has egregious flaws being uncovered on an almost daily basis. The media is covering it up by playing them down.
If the Senate goes Republican, we have a shot at stopping it. It’s our last chance.
My doctor’s worst fear is a Hillary Clinton win in 2016. It’s mine as well.
She is not competent, her performance as Secretary of State proved that, but what difference does it make? [I threw my hands up when I wrote that.]
Hillary wants Single Payer healthcare and this is where Obamacare is headed.
If the Republicans don’t start getting their show on the road, half the country will be silenced after 2016, and many won’t find good doctors.
