The good will that Mr. Obama needs and which has been offered by Republicans will be dissipated before the New Year. He is gassing up, ready to ride right over Congress on every issue. He is considering making a nuclear deal with Iran without Congress according to the NY Times, his climate agenda includes a non-treaty agreement with the U.N., and he will legalize millions by the New Year.
He is going to use his pen and phone more, not less.
According to McClatchy DC, Obama’s aides said Tuesday that Obama will sign an executive order by the end of December giving temporary legal status to some of the 11 million immigrants who are in the country illegally so they can stay and work in the U.S.
It would have happened already if it weren’t for the fact that the Democrats in Congress pleaded with him to hold off until after the election.
He knows that it will make it impossible to work with Congress but he has never tried to work with Congress.
Rep. Luis Gutierrez D-Ill. plans to hold a press conference on Wednesday with his local open borders cohorts to put pressure on Obama. He will discuss the “urgent need for immigration prosecutorial discretion and executive action on the part of the Obama Administration and will be joined by local advocates and leaders”.
The American people sent a long overdue message this evening. They gave the senate to the Republicans. The House picked up seats. There were surprise wins in the gubernatorial races.
One might think that Mr. Obama will realize he has to become more receptive to the Republican proposals. However, quite the opposite will occur.
President Obama has an enormous ego and he will not be irrelevant. He will concentrate on getting his agenda through for his socialist legacy.
