Chris Christie and Jim Comey came out in support of the police while the president, Amnesty International and his army of vile leftist cop haters called cops murderers this weekend, days after an innocent police officer, only 33 years old, was murdered by a hardened criminal.
“The problem is this, there’s lawlessness in this country,” Christie told CBS News host John Dickerson on Face the Nation Sunday. “The president encourages this lawlessness. He encourages it.”
“He does not support the police, he doesn’t back up the police, he justifies Black Lives Matter,” he added.
The president spoke Thursday at a White House criminal justice forum about police violence among African-American communities, defending the movement as something that “we, as a society, particularly given our history, have to take this seriously.”
Dickerson interrupted with a smirk on his face to say that “they’re not calling for the murder of police officers.” Christie didn’t back down.
“Sure, they are,” the New Jersey Republican responded. “They’ve been chanting in the streets for the murder of police officers.”
At a White House discussion on improving relations between cops and blacks, Obama said, “the moment is here.”
He is fanning the flames of division for his transformational agenda.
At last Thursday’s event, Obama praised the group again while also claiming that “everybody understands that all lives matter. Everybody wants strong, effective law enforcement. Everybody wants their kids to be safe when they are walking across the street. Nobody wants to see police officers who are doing their jobs fairly hurt. Everybody understands it’s a dangerous job.”
Obama said nothing about Officer Holder’s murder. The protesters seemed to not have noticed the officer who was killed was black and the killer was black.
Many of these protesters want the police out of the neighborhoods. They hate them. They hate law enforcement.
What is being lost here is the fact that young black men commit violent crimes far out of proportion to their population. In New York City, like the rest of the country, about 90 percent of homicide victims are nonwhite males, as are 90 percent of their killers, the NY Post reported.
Officer Holder was on the force for five years. He’s a black immigrant who won several awards and was striving to make detective. He should have been Obama’s kind of guy if how he portrays himself is legitimate, but he had nothing to say about his death.
Obama is lauding leftist anti-cop bigots and ignoring murdered cops. He’s bringing us back to a dark place because that’s we he resides.
Newsweek praised his comments and said he is giving Democrats a “roadmap” on how to address the issue by clearly explaining that the Black Lives Matter group isn’t demeaning other races by saying Black Lives Matter as if we don’t know that’s what they are trying to say while proving the opposite by their actions.
On Friday, FBI director James Comey told an audience of law students in Chicago police were struggling to cope with violent crime because “a chill wind” had “blown through law enforcement over the last year and that wind is surely changing behavior.
“In today’s YouTube world,” Comey asked, “are officers reluctant to get out of their cars and do the work that controls violent crime?”
Amnesty International USA executive director Steven W Hawkins then came out with a statement which said: “Rather than making unsubstantiated claims that hinder dialogue and constructive criticism of police practices, what is urgently needed is an official collection and publication of nationwide statistics on the use of force by police.
“We also need President Obama and the Department of Justice to support the creation of a national commission to conduct a nationwide review of police use of lethal force laws, policies and training and practices, as well as a thorough review and reform of oversight and accountability mechanisms.”
The leftists at Amnesty are on board with Obama’s agenda to nationalize local police.
Patrick Lynch, the President of the Police Benevolent Association, is calling for a boycott of Quentin Tarantino films after Tarantino called police murderers at a Black Lives Matter rally in New York City within days of the murder of a police officer by a gangbanging drug dealer.
Tarantino’s comments were inflammatory and hateful.
“When I see murders, I do not stand by . . . I have to call a murder a murder, and I have to call the murderers the murderers,” the cinematographer purveyor of violence told a crowd of protesters in Washington Square Park. He said that cops are too often “murderers.”
I wonder who Tarantino calls when he’s in trouble. The police? Or is he surrounded by bodyguards as most of these people are.
Look at the hate these people spew.
They marched with the Revolutionary Communist Party (Rev.com). They are the same people who Occupied Wall Street, only now they found leftist blacks who are willing to join in.
