We may be hearing the new Obama Middle East policy from White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough who harshly criticized Israel at a J-Street Conference on Monday. J-Street is an anti-Israel group.
The administration is now calling Israel an occupying power over land they fairly won nearly fifty years ago in a war they did not start.
McDonough told J-Street it was time to call for the “end of Israel’s 50-year occupation” of the West Bank.
The White House wants Israel to turn over the land to the terrorists in the Hamas-Fatah alliance, the same terrorists who have sworn to destroy Israel. Hamas is backed by Iran that also seeks the complete destruction of Israel.
It would leave Israel without its necessary buffer zone.
If only Obama and McDonough would criticize the Ayatollah with the same degree of vitriol when he demands death to America as he did this past weekend.
McDonough claimed the alliance between the U.S. and Israel was a permanent one while asking for them to recede to indefensible borders.
This is what one calls talking out of both sides of one’s mouth.
“No matter who leads Israel, America’s commitment to Israel’s security will never waiver,” McDonough said.
How do people honestly think the Holy Land would fare under terrorist rule because that is what this administration is suggesting. How would Israel defend themselves with these borders?
Does the administration care? Do they think Iran and the Fatah-Hamas alliance are not serious about wanting to destroy Israel?
There appears to be a palpable hatred towards Netanyahu and the people of Israel coming from this administration. Obama has been shown up by Netanyahu because of Obama’s own feckless and rudderless leadership and Obama is getting his revenge. It’s also what he’s wanted all along.
The two-state solution our administration is demanding is unworkable as long as the Palestinian Authority is aligned with the Iranian-backed Hamas terrorists. In any case, the Palestinians have their state in Gaza and they use it as launch site for constant attacks on Israel. Another state that is within Israel’s current borders and includes the Holy Land will be far more dangerous.
