Oh For the Good Old Days When Diversity Officers Could Tweet #Kill All White Men

The Goldsmith’s College diversity officer has been tweeting with the hashtag “kill all white men” and she advertised an anti-racism event in which she told white heterosexual men not to come. She’s stirred up a lot of discussion.

Bahar Mustafa don't come

On Tuesday, Mustafa allegedly wrote “#killallwhitemen” on her Facebook page, and called a student “white trash” using an official student union Twitter account.

Not for nothing but has she looked in the mirror? She’s white!

Bahar Mustafa is the university union’s welfare and diversity officer and there is a petition going around to have her removed from that paid position. She’s also getting death threats allegedly.

The petition against her said she’s engaging in hate speech.

“For example, the consistent use of hashtags such as #killallwhitemen and #misandry, and publicly calling someone ‘white trash’ under the official GSU Welfare and Diversity Officer Twitter account.”

white trash

Her twitter account has since been shut down.

Turns out that she was joking about #kill all white men. She said they’re “in-jokes and ways that many people in the queer feminist community express ourselves. It’s a way of reclaiming the power from the trauma many of us experience as queers, women, people of colour, who are on the receiving end of racism, misogyny and homophobia daily’, she said.

Then she said on camera that she can’t be sexist or racist because ethnic minority women could not be racist since they don’t stand to benefit from inequality.

She can’t get out of her own way.

The student’s union also says there’s no bigotry in what she did or said.

Look at the nonsense coming from her supporters.

People with common sense:

response on Mustafa

On her resume she wrote this:  I organised Feminist Society events, open to all genders, to cultivate a strong sense of politics and discuss issues affecting our daily experiences and this ZERO TOLERANCE on homophobia, queer-phobia, trans*phobia, racism, Islamaphobia, misogyny, ableism, cis-sexism, and classist behaviour.

She is one confused person.
