We now have a White House page to tell us all that we need to know about the Syrian situation.
Just joshin’ with ya. It doesn’t tell you a thing but it does have talking points you’ve heard before, just in case you don’t have them memorized yet.
The site gives readers the opportunity to “learn more about President’ Obama’s response to the Assad regime’s use of chemical weapons in Syria and to get the latest news from the White House about the situation.”
It includes a timeline, highlights and a few Obama speeches about the serious Syria situation which wasn’t serious when the first 110,000 people were killed. It wasn’t serious with the first few chemical attacks either.
Syria certainly took the attention off the White House scandals. They have all but disappeared from the news.
One video on the site explains his plan but you won’t know what it is after listening to the video. Obama’s key point is that the military plan is proportional, limited and does not involve boots on the ground. It’s not Iraq, it’s not Afghanistan. It will degrade Assad’s ability and fits a broader strategy to strengthen the opposition over time.
Greta Van Susteren reported Thursday evening that the targets in Syria have been changed 50 times!
That does not instill confidence.
How we are going to deal with any retaliation by our enemies in the region is unclear. What we hope to achieve is not mentioned.

So far, it gets a 1 on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best.
