Operative’s Arrest Has A Compelling Connection to Democratic Party Plot to Steal Elections

“‘Power comes out of the barrel of a gun’ is an absurd rallying cry when the other side has all the guns. Lenin was a pragmatist; when he returned from what was then Petrograd from exile, he said that the Bolsheviks stood for getting power through the ballot but would reconsider after they got the guns.”

~ Saul Alinsky

I recently reported about The Colorado Model which is a Democratic voter scheme to collect from rich liberal donors and target specific candidates to eventually capture every election through front organizations, media, harassment and so on. It has been used most effectively in Colorado.

A similar contrivance has been used by the Democratic Party to secure as many as Secretary of State offices in swing states as possible. This would give the Democrats the power to control election laws. The Democrats were very successful until Iowa in 2010 when conservative Republican Matt Schultz won the Secretary of State race. Now Schultz is a target.

The devious blueprint appears to have crossed the line from slimy plot to criminal activity.

Zachary Edwards of Des Moines was arrested for identity theft and for allegedly using Schultz’s identity to fraudulently implicate Schultz in unethical behavior. Schultz’s office discovered the scheme last June.

Iowa blogger Shane Vander Hart  uncovered the following information: Edwards is a former Obama staffer who directed “new media operations” for Obama in five states during the 2008 primaries; afterwards, he was Obama’s Director of New Media for the State of Iowa; and he now works for LINK Strategies, a Democratic consulting firm tied to Iowa Democrat Tom Harkin.

The same day as the identity theft, articles appeared on a liberal blog questioning Schultz’s ability to ensure election integrity. That same month, the Iowa Democratic Party filed an ethics complaint against Schultz, falsely claiming Schultz used public resources for a campaign against Huntsman (the charge was dismissed ten days later).

It appears that the identity theft could be tied into a coordinated effort by the Iowa Democratic Party to bring down the Republican Secretary of State, opening up the job for a Democrat.

The connection between Edwards and his former and current bosses is one that needs to be examined closely. This could be part of a broader plan to steal elections across the border – how very Alinsky of them that would be. Read here and expect more on this issue from the Powerline blog who is investigating.
