Oprah Winfrey is rich enough to do and say anything she wants, even side with the “peaceful protesters” who are tearing up the streets in some of our major cities and who are raging against the police who protect and serve. She claims what she wants peaceful protests and more leadership.
She wants another Martin Luther King Jr. but she isn’t living in 1963 no matter how much she pretends.
About the marches in Ferguson and elsewhere, she told People Magazine exclusively:
“I think it’s wonderful to march and to protest and it’s wonderful to see all across the country, people doing it.”
But it’s not enough to march, says Winfrey.
“What I’m looking for is some kind of leadership to come out of this to say, ‘This is what we want. This is what has to change, and these are the steps that we need to take to make these changes, and this is what we’re willing to do to get it.’ “
She just made a film detailing the story behind Martin Luther King Jr.’s work to pass the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The Act was needed in 1965. It’s hardly needed now, but we can’t let facts and reality get in the way.
The movie exploits Martin Luther King Jr. and anachronistically uses him to support a modern-day Voting Rights Act which will be used to corrupt everyone else’s vote.
The rules sought by the Voting Act activists would allow illegal immigrants and other ineligible voters to vote by not requiring any reliable form of voter ID. Absurdly, if we ask for photo ID, we risk being called racists.
Oprah would have us travel back to the 1960’s.
The movie hasn’t been received by the public but it already is nominated for several Golden Globes, including best picture and best actor, and has strong Oscar buzz heading into awards season, according to People.
It’s propaganda, pure and simple. I admire Martin Luther King but I won’t see a movie intended to brainwash people.
Oprah wants the revolution, which we now see supported by communists, socialists, anarchists, and racists, but she wants strategic attention paid to peaceful protest as Martin Luther King Jr. once did.
As much as I like MLK Jr., who was a Republican, he did march with and associate with communists and anarchists. They have a way of inflicting themselves on every upheaval in society for their own ulterior motives.
Her actor in the film, David Oyelowo who plays MLK Jr, said Ferguson and Eric Garner have become an American problem and both he and Oprah said it’s exactly the same as Selma.
There was no sign of condemnation for the anti-police rhetoric or even the ideology of communism behind the riots/protests. The end justifies the means.
If the liberals are successful in convincing people this is Selma 1963, we could face an overturning of our legal, financial, and government systems. That is what the far-left and delusional liberals want.
