The statement that half the country doesn’t want Trump is not a fair argument, O’Reilly said Friday. That happens in all races. What is fair is to say that there still are people considering him.
The establishment doesn’t think Trump has the caliber of character to be president, the Fox News anchor believes. They don’t like the way he behaves. He added that the GOP is more concerned about Trump’s character than beating Clinton.
That’s a simple observation but fairly profound. It does boil down to that in all likelihood. All the musings, attacks on the establishment, and conspiracy theories about him doesn’t amount to a thing. The establishment simply doesn’t like the way Trump behaves.
One gets the feeling that Bill O’Reilly, who is or was a friend of Trump’s, doesn’t like the way he behaves either. He has told him on his show that he needs to act more presidential.
It’s a tough road ahead for Donald Trump, no doubt about it, O’Reilly forewarned, sounding a little dispirited.
Trump is already a damaged candidate and what we saw last night at his rally was only the beginning in what is to come. As tough as Trump is, one has to wonder how he can weather it.
If nothing else, the one thing that has become clear as a result of these protests/riots is that there is only one enemy and it’s not the GOP or Trump, it’s the far left and they seek to take our country down. The Marxist thugs are the guilty parties. We need to keep our eye on the target.
