TIM BISHOP VOTED FOR IT BEFORE HE VOTED AGAINST IT!!!
No matter what state you are living in, please look to New York for your Progressive future because we are the leaders, bar none.
Let’s take Rep. Tim Bishop as one typical New York congressman who has managed to turn the truth on its head.
He campaigned for, strongly advocated for, and voted enthusiastically for Obamacare. Now his PAC is pretending he did the opposite. He has not voiced one iota of opposition to the blatant lies the PAC is perpetuating.
Take a look at this flyer and see the evidence for yourself and then tell me if you would like him to be your congressman.
This is the front of the PAC mailer –
We all know that Obamacare took a half trillion dollars out of Medicare. Since the Medicare system is on a path to bankruptcy, it is hard to see how this does not force most seniors into the Medicaid type system offered by Obamacare. Read here: Soylent Green is people.
My favorite lie is on the second half of this flyer below.
Now IPAB is a problem??? But HE VOTED FOR IT!!!
Bishop voted for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA otherwise known as Obamacare). Under sections 3403 and 10320 of Obamacare, the Independent Payment Advisory Board [IPAB]was established. It is a 15 member rogue agency of bureaucrats who operate without any oversight or controls. They are appointed by the Executive and are answerable to no one. Their sole job is to achieve savings in Medicare and the only way that is going to happen is through rationing. They sure haven’t found the waste and fraud as promised. Read here: Rogue government
If Tim Bishop didn’t want an IPAB, why did he vote for Obamacare which clearly establishes one? Perhaps Tim was hanging out with Nancy Pelosi too much – she said you have to pass the bill to know what’s in it. Actually, I personally called Tim’s office shortly after he voted for the bill and his aide said Tim hadn’t read the bill (as if ignorance is an excuse).
Bishop has a plan to get elected despite this blatant abuse of the seniors’ healthcare plan. For this year’s congress, he is supporting HR 452, the Medicare Decisions Accountability Act of 2011, which eliminates IPAB. Govtrack gives it an 8% chance of passing. Bishop knows it hasn’t a prayer of passing. It’s merely a ploy by him to help his re-election campaign.
When the government offers Congress’ healthcare plan to us mere mortals, I’m all in.
