Parents Lose Fight to Limit Chicago High School Brainwashing Workshops

A wealthy, predominantly white school district in Winnetka Illinois will offer Progressive workshops in voter suppression, affordable housing, police brutality, affirmative action, and they even prepared by showing a film by racist Spike Lee. It’s a presentation on the Civil Rights era.

The “Parents of New Trier” group said there is not enough diversity and the seminar day is too politically progressive and left-wing. The group, if you go by the petition they passed out, is made up of 450 parents, but there are  5,000 Progressive parents who disagree with them and signed another petition to keep the workshop as is.

Some parents and conservative groups have deemed the event during Black History Month “radical” and “divisive.”

Speakers include an author who wrote a fictional book about a slave trying to escape slavery. Another author, wrote a graphic novel with Rep. John Lewis on the Civil Rights era. Lewis is a hack.

Other events of the day will include workshops on “Disney and Racial Stereotypes” and “Tracing Food Inequality: Food Deserts in Chicago.”

Dueling petitions circulated and heated emails were exchanged. Hundreds of people packed a school board meeting beyond capacity.

“The school went about this in a way that ensures it will be narrow and divisive,” said Betsy Hart, who has two children enrolled. Hart, a senior writer at the conservative Heritage Foundation who says her school activism is separate from her day job, expects the parent group to continue pushing for more conservative voices at New Trier High.

Among some of the requests, the “Parents of New Trier” group wants to add research supporting voter identification laws to a session on voter suppression and ensure a panel on affirmative action includes contrasting views such as the suggestion that it’s detrimental for minorities.

The school will not acquiesce and the Progressive workshops will go on as left-wing and radical as originally planned.

This is how a nation becomes enslaved.

“Critical thinking is about more than having two opposing views,” said Tim Hayes, an assistant superintendent.

Since when did critical thinking become biased left only?

Then there is the white privilege and white guilt BS that the left likes to use to manipulate.

“When the thing that your community is most worried about is that your education is too liberal, I feel like that’s a motivating factor to get out more,” said 17-year-old Celia Buckman, a senior at New Trier.

“It really makes you think about the kind of privilege that your community really has.”
