Please Tell Me What These Trump Headlines Tell Us About the Media

Is the media biased or simply without ingenuity? What?

Trump

Trump has fallen behind in Iowa since his comment about religion which many took as a criticism of Dr. Carson’s religion. His actual comment was, “I love Iowa. And, look, I don’t have to say it, I’m Presbyterian. … Boy, that’s down the middle of the road, folks, in all fairness. I mean, Seventh-day Adventist, I don’t know about. I just don’t know about.”

He didn’t name Carson but when he said he wasn’t trying to plant seeds of doubt about Carson while being interviewed on abc’s This Week, it didn’t ring true for some which presented an opportunity for the media.

Since that comment, Trump fell significantly in the Iowa polls so he went to Iowa to ask them to vote for him.

“Will you get these numbers up?” he asked. “I promise you I will do such a good job. First of all, I am a great Christian. And I do well with the evangelicals, but the evangelicals let me down a little bit this month. I don’t know what I did.”

The headlines describing his comments were all identical.

Check out the titles of articles next to the name of the news source and you tell me why they are all saying the same thing after listening to the video clip.

Now listen to the video and tell me if you think he’s begging. I don’t hear begging but everyone else does. I hear a lighthearted, tongue-in-cheek request.

  1. Trump Derangement Syndrome ( a condition like the Bush Derangement Syndrome the media acquired when GW was Pres) has several manifestations. This is one of them. They tend to babble, go off on tangents, use non sequiturs and often just start talking about totally unrelated subjects and end up saying “See? Bush (Trump) is a stupid, evil, genius, failure!” They make things up, they create situations out of whole cloth and justify their existence by saying “Trust us to give you the inside scoop.”
You get the feeling that either they are all members of the “JournOlist” or they all went to the same schools or read the same talking points. In this case it was “Trump begged”, they all said. Remember when Bush was running it was “He lacks ‘gravitas’. There are videos of scores of talking heads using the word ‘gravitas’, which had never before entered the lexicon.
    They are completely shameless.

  2. Also agree with Bob and Noble. The Far Left Media has no shame and it is disturbing. It pleases me to find articles like the Independent Sentinel. Unbiased, factual reporting. The way it use to be before the Uber-Wealthy, began telling us what we should think.
