Politico Has Another Benghazi Story About the Video But They Left Out a Few Things

US-VOTE-2012-DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION

The media distorts the truth, often by leaving out some key facts and Benghazi is no different. Hillary’s obvious Benghazi lies are being cleansed and a new story posted Sunday at Politico subtly smooths the way.

The State Department released watch logs from the night of the Benghazi attack to Veterans for a Strong America through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. They include 24 pages of watch logs from the State Department operations center.

They were given to the Veterans group before Congress. A spokesman for the House Benghazi Committee said the panel had access to other State Department chronologies but only received the call records on Friday, a week after they were released to the veterans group on Oct. 30.

There is much left out of the logs and nothing new so far except Politico seems to be trying to debunk one of the emails presented at the Benghazi hearing with Hillary Clinton.

The release included a previously-undisclosed email to Secretary Clinton from her daughter Chelsea on the night of the Benghazi attack.

Chelsea is called Diane Reynolds in the email.

From Politico:

In a message to her mother, Chelsea Clinton called the violence “anathema to us as Americans,” but also seemed to link the attack to Muslim anger over an anti-Islam video posted on YouTube. She called it “a painful reminder or [sic] how long it took modernism to take root in the US, after the Enlightenment…removal of censorship norms and laws, etc.”

At the House Benghazi hearing last month, it was revealed at one point on the night of the attack Secretary Clinton sent a message to her daughter saying “Two of our officers were killed in Benghazi by an Al-Qaeda like group.” Some Republicans seized on the message as evidence that Secretary Clinton was aware the attack was a pre-planned assault by a terrorist group and not related to the anti-Islam video.

At the hearing, Clinton pointed to a press report saying a militant charged with organizing the attack used the videos to recruit people to join in the assault.

It appears from the email threads that Chelsea Clinton, who used the pseudonym Diane Reynolds in the emails, had not received her mother’s message about “Al-Qaeda” before responding with the comments about censorship and the Enlightenment.

Politico didn’t bother to mention that “some Republicans” also based their comments on the fact that Hillary sent an email to the Egyptian president acknowledging it was an Al-Qaeda attack.

Chelsea could just as easily have been referring to the Egypt uprising which began the day before and which was allegedly in response to the video, at least in part.

The video tale began with Egypt, not Libya. No one in power has strictly scrutinized the factual basis for the video tale in Egypt. The riots began in Egypt with “Obama’s team in Egypt” under Mohammed Morsi and spread throughout the region. Morsi was never our ally and could have been behind the protests.

The US administration at the time was struggling to present the riots as not anti-Obama or anti-America and the video was timely after the manner in which Osama bin Laden’s death was treated at the DNC convention.

When the Egyptian president mentioned the video it was the next day after they began. That was odd. At the time, some suggested the video story was more planted than real but it was merely supposition.

The Democrats spiked the football at the DNC convention immediately before the riots on September 4th through the 6th – they mentioned Osama’s death at least 21 times – and that is what they don’t want you to remember and they don’t want it tied to the riots. Remember their signs, “Osama is dead, GM is alive.” The video had been out for months.

They paraded the signs as if they were trophies but somehow the media didn’t tie this to the riots.

bin laden1

When the riots took place in 2012, they weren’t chanting, Nakoula, Nakoula, we’re all Mohammed. They were chanting, Obama, Obama, we’re all Osama. Nikoula and his video might always have been the fall guy. It’s hard to imagine that no one in these Middle Eastern countries heard about the spiking of the football by the US administration at the DNC convention but they did hear about an obscure video.

This is a sample of the signs the Egyptians were parading around:

Obama we are all osama

After Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton apologized for the video in ads shown on Pakistani TV, there were riots in Pakistan over the film.

Remember this:
