Pope Francis with Communist Dictator Evo Morales at the World Meeting of Popular Movements

Pope Francis addressed a meeting of the World Popular Movements at the end of his visit to Bolivia. During his speech, he condemned the spirit of individualism as “bondage.”

From the speech he gave and has given on other occasions, Pope Francis’ objective appears to be the dismantling of “unfettered” Capitalism, which he seems to see as all Capitalism, and the diminution of its main product – the dung of the devil – money and possessions. It fosters competition which the pope is opposed to along with individualism.

“Many people are hoping for a change capable of releasing them from the bondage of individualism and the despondency it spawns,” the pope said in a speech at a World Meeting of Popular Movements sponsored by Communist dictator Evo Morales on July 10th.

To Americans who have flourished more than any nation in the world, rugged individualism is important to American success and it is necessary for true freedom. It appears that collectivism is the Pope’s key to success.

The World Popular Movements he addressed are statist, collectivist movements. This particular meeting was organized in conjunction with the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace and the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences.

The Pope ascribed poverty and equality to a system that “has become global…a system has imposed the mentality of profit at any price, with no concern for social exclusion or the destruction of nature”. He does’t mean Communism or Socialism.

Pope Francis wants immediate “structural change” and he wants “a change which can affect the entire world, since global interdependence calls for global answers to local problems.”

He wants global government with all these statist nations feeding off the wealth and resources of the “rich” nations. Coincidentally, that is what Barack Obama wants.

Pope Francis has a dark view of the current financial system and calls it a “subtle dictatorship”.

While addressing these Communists at the meeting, he said: “As members of popular movements, you carry out your work inspired by fraternal love, which you show in opposing social injustice.”

Communism, ideally does foster fraternal love, but it never works.

Pope Francis wants an economy where service rules.

“The first task is to put the economy at the service of peoples. Human beings and nature must not be at the service of money. Let us say NO to an economy of exclusion and inequality, where money rules, rather than service. That economy kills. That economy excludes. That economy destroys Mother Earth,” Pope Francis declared. “The economy should not be a mechanism for accumulating goods, but rather the proper administration of our common home.”

Ironically, the very things the Pope wants for all mankind can be found in Capitalism and the free market.

He wants a worldwide economy “where human beings, in harmony with nature, structure the entire system of production and distribution in such a way that the abilities and needs of each individual find suitable expression in social life”. He has seen cooperatives other community organizations that work and would like to see it replace the “idolatrous economy.”

The type of justice and equality he calls for is Marxist social justice and Capitalism as neocolonialism in his view.

The Pope focused on climate change as he has in all his speeches and will again in September when he comes to the United States.

It would be easy to ignore the Pope except he comes at a time when collectivists are consuming the culture, financial system, and the politics of the United States, the last bastion of individualism, Capitalism, and freedom. He can put the imprimatur of moral righteousness on the entire statist agenda. With a third of the nation calling themselves Catholic, this is a Pope who is a threat to the American way of life, every bit the threat of Barack Obama.

He threatens to drive a wedge between Catholics in the United States and the GOP, at least the Democrats hope so.

The spirit of American Individualism is what has guided generations of successful Americans. The Pope is striking at the very soul of America.

America is freedom. Collectivism is bondage to the collective. Pope Francis has it exactly wrong.

In any case, the Democrats shouldn’t count on the Pope winning over American Catholics to his extremist views. We don’t have to follow his opinions and his views on politics, the climate and the economy are strictly opinion.

  1. Dear Pope: Go find whoever whizzed all over your brains and kill him or her. And have a very nice day. ~:<)

  2. Pope Francis should really hire a fact checker. Capitalism has brought more people out of poverty than any other system every conceived of by man. Collectivism has starved and killed more people than anything (other than abortion). I have a friend who was the last surviving member of his family after the state declared that it was unfair that his family had two cows when other families had none. So they took one of the cows and the family starved to death. that’s collectivism. It’s a sad time to be a catholic.

  3. In the devil’s world, durable peace, human equality, and total control of the environment will always be fantasies. Such cosmic panaceas are merely guaranteed methods for eliminating personal freedom, the key to human happiness, the key to maximum function of human volition. Under the influence of evil, egotistical policy makers and their malcontent, insecure constituents fall for these notions and play right into the hands of Satan.

  4. Dear Pope Francis……you are talking like a true socialist (communist) who would like to shape all of us like the proverbial rats following the piper. I’m sure that you’re aware that socialism works fine until you run out of other peoples money. Sooo…you want the world to run out of money, all but the Vatican, hey? I’m sure they will NOT run out of money. Were it not for capitalism, you would not ride around in your Popemobile nor fly to S.A in a nice jet aircraft. GET REAL!
