President Obama’s Poll Numbers Moving On Down

President Obama’s poll numbers remain high among Democrats. “President Obama wins Approval from 85% of Liberal Democrats, 67% of Conservative Democrats according to Rasmussen weekly tracking polls of likely voters. On the negative side, only five percent (5%) of liberal Democrats Strongly Disapprove of the job the president is doing, while 27% of conservative Democrats voice that opinion.

Fifty-four percent (54%) believe the president is more liberal than they are politically. Twelve percent (12%) see him as more conservative. President Obama continues to draw great support from liberal Democrats but not as much as from conservative Democrats. Enthusiasm for the president is down among younger Democrats.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 20% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -22 (see trends)…”

It’s important to note that Independents are leaving President Obama and Liberals are 21% of the population.

The Gallup weekly poll puts Obama’s approval rating at 39%.
